“A lovely villa in a peaceful tranquil retreat. Wonderful views of the coast and surrounding hills. Watch the Eagles soaring above. Very peaceful you can listen to the wildlife around you. The nearest Taverna is just over a kilometer away but you are unlikely to encounter a car walking there. Beautiful lake nearby to see the fresh water turtles.”

“Villa Tamos is a wonderful, well-equipped, spacious villa in a beautiful setting and we absolutely loved our time there. The pool is as perfect as the view and grounds and Stuart and Lorraine were super-helpful hosts. The villa is well located for exploring Crete and the restaurants/bars/shops of Almyrida are only ten minutes drive away. There is a long unmade track to the property, which needs driving with care, but it's well worth it, and we hope to return one day! Thank you for everything....

“Bei der Anreise würde ich vorher die Karte auf Googelearths herunterladen, vor Ort ist es ein wenig versteckt ( beim Schild Villa Nathalie in den Weg ruhig abbiegen 😊)... aber der Vermieter ist Tel. ständig erreichbar und hilft sofort weiter. Wenn ihr dann noch vorsichtig mit der Treppe im Haus seid, euch besser ein Nachtlicht anmacht!!!!... dann steht einem herrlichen Urlaub überhaupt nicht s im Wege. Es ist alles da was ihr braucht. Wir waren mit 8 Erwachsenen und 1 Kleinkind dort. Einfach...

“Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper...

“Good equipment, comfortable beds with good mattresses, comfortable large sofa. TV with many international channels - we did not use it, however, because the beautiful view from the terrace was much more attractive. In our opinion, the house is suitable for up to 5 adults. Pon is a very nice and always accessible landlord. “We had the most amazing holiday in Almyrida. Villa Iannis was beautiful and the restaurants served great food. We particularly liked Psaros and Francois. The villa was spotless, the pool was bigger than we anticipated and Jan was so kind, helpful and just very lovely. We will be back! The only issue for us was the layout. You can’t see the pool from the villa and there were a lot of steps but our children are 11 and 14 so it was fine for us. Thank you Jan, Dimitra and the Almyrida team ❤️😊”

“This is a superb villa option and perfect for our mixed age group of parents, adult children and grandma. The villa is very clean, really well stocked with what you need and with stunning views over Souda Bay. You need a car to explore but we loved the location. Plaka has a number of restaurants and is only a short stroll away and the hidden cove of Koutalas is an absolute gem.”

“Spectacular views from poolside and villa balcony. Well equipped kitchen not lacking for anything. Spacious lounge and dining area. The air conditioning unit probably needs a service in this room. Bedrooms were excellent sized beds and comfy firm matresses. Airconditioning was perfect. Pool was a great size and always quiet and the views towards the sea were spectacular. Behind the house is a dramatic mountain backdrop.”

“A lovely, comfortable, place to relax and switch off, with the pool to keep the kids happy, and all modern conveniences (and very comfortable beds!). Small grocery shops nearby, and reasonably priced restaurants, too. Rural and reasonably secluded. Enjoyed hearing the sheep across the lane, making friends with the local cats, and seeing large birds of prey above us. “Breathtaking views perched on the hills overlooking the sea and the white mountains. Run by a wonderful and helpful local family. I loved this property even with the tiny shower and slow internet (Whole area is slow). This is the best place for this area, close to a beautiful town Georgioupoli and to over 6-10 miles of beach. It has a nice pool but the balconies are the steal. ”
