“My wife and I have just stayed at The Moorland Hotel for 4 nights, 3 of which we had an evening meal. Beautiful location in Dartmoor with plenty of walks nearby. “Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“Our stay at the Cridford Inn was absolutely fantastic. From the room, the staff, the restaurant (we tried the medieval recipes and they were great), the bar and the fabulous breakfast. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The area offers a vast number of walks on the beautiful Moor. ”

“We only stayed for one night as we were on route to Cornwall, the staff were very friendly, lovely and welcoming. We had the Sunday roast and the Gammon was amazing we had to speak to the chef to let him know! The hotel is situated in beautiful calming surroundings and wish we had more time here! The room was spotless and looked like the bathroom had been refurbished and had everything we needed. Breakfast also was plentiful and more than enough choices and good quality. “I really like the people that run it ...you can have a laugh and a joke and their professional. I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way. The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!! Two dislikes Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use. The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside. I'm definitely going...
