We had an incredible stay at this mountain cabin and can't wait to return! The location was perfect – peaceful and secluded while still being conveniently accessible. The views were stunning and we loved being surrounded by nature.The layout of the house worked beautifully for our group. The space flowed well and gave everyone room to spread out while still feeling cozy and connected. We especially appreciated how thoughtfully designed everything was.The decor was tasteful and created such a warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a true home away from home, not an impersonal rental. Every detail showed the owner's care and attention.Our host was responsive and made check-in seamless. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain retreat. It exceeded our expectations in every way!

Perfection! This home is a perfect combination of space, coziness and convenience. The house is very well appointed and left us wanting for nothing. Our favorite spot was the porch, which offered beautiful views of the mountains, plenty of room to get comfy by the fire and provided the perfect spot to watch football and make dinner on the grill. In addition, it was a delight to prepare meals in the kitchen and we found ourselves hanging out there several times a day. The dining room table was the perfect size for our party of 8 to eat and play games well into the night. All this and only a stones throw from downtown Asheville, The Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and hiking trails. We were already planning our next stay while we packed up! We will be back! Hillside Cottage was perfect. Thank you for creating such a wonderful getaway for our family.

Our stay was 95% good -- the location is great, the home is spacious, outdoor space is perfect and the view is beautiful. However, the morning we were checking out, one of the guests staying in the bedroom closest to the kitchen saw at least one mouse multiple times. It was huge bummer to end our trip on this note.

The house and location is great but property management leaves a little to be desired. The Good: the location is perfect, close enough to town to make trips for supplies or outings a breeze but far enough up the mountain to make you feel secluded and away from it all…the best of both worlds. The house is beautiful and had stunning views from the decks and master bedroom. The landscaping in the front yard is beautiful and the fireplaces and outdoor seating was perfect. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed for cooking family meals. There was also a nice selection of books for kids and adults as well as games the family can play. The Bad: Despite the home being vacant for 8 days before our stay, early check in could not be accommodated because they claimed other guests were checking out that morning. The decks had not been swept and were full of cobwebs, there was a smell of sewage in the downstairs common area, the washing machine did not work, the shower in the upstairs guest room did not work, the wine fridge in the dining room did not work, the outdoor sink leaked profusely, the master bedroom mattress is uncomfortably soft. Both the property management and 3-in-1 soaps in the bathrooms leave much to be desired. Property management responded to our concerns about the smell of sewage downstairs, asked us to troubleshoot the issue and if we wanted something to mask the smell, that was “on us”. There was no follow up and I felt like an inconvenience.

The check-in process was amazing. They were kind enough to let us check in two hours early… Upon arriving the house was immaculate. The pictures themselves do not do justice to the house amazing views plenty of space for a large group would definitely go back and stay there again… And don’t be like me and not believe that there are bears there the morning of checkout about 160 pound blackbear was in the backyard so he their warning do not leave food out. He was looking for food… It was an amazing view to see nature and I actually see a bear running through the backyard. I highly recommend this house for Stay… The owners responded quickly. Every time I had a question which were very few they were very accommodating. I wish everyone and every facility could be like this

An Amazing Place

While the pictures of this home are beautiful—the actual place exceeded our high expectations. Everything in the home was immaculate, the views were stunning, and the location to downtown Asheville was as advertised (7-min). Pictures of the mountains from the main deck just cannot do the view justice—and you get this beautiful view from so many places in the home. If you are considering this property—you will be blown away by every aspect of it. And this includes Yonder who were extremely responsive and accommodating. When spending time away with friends/family, you want everything to be perfect—and this place is exactly that!
