Great Place to Stay

Great open layout and perfect for a large group to sleep comfortably. Minutes to downtown by car. Very satisfied with stay. Perfect place to explore Asheville from.

Amazing cozy cabin!

I rented this cozy cabin for my birthday weekend with family and friends and it was 10/10! The house and property was so spacious and beautiful and AvantStay made the booking and check-in/out so seamless. We are already planning our next trip back!

Perfect spot for a large group!

This rental was perfect for a large group wanting to explore Asheville! About a 15 minute ride to the heart of downtown. Plenty of beds for everyone and had a great area on the deck to eat with a view of the mountains. Would love to stay again!

Great location. Lots of space.

Host was accommodating of a slightly early check in via text message, day of. Very responsive. Lots of space to socialize but also spread out and sleep. I would stay here again.

Our stay

House was amazing and in great condition. It easily accommodated 15 of us for a bachelor party. It was secluded enough for us to have privacy when we were outside and not more than a 5 to 10 minute drive from downtown

Great escape so close to town

Although only 10-12 minutes from downtown Asheville, this home feels secluded being on a north-facing mountain with only one neighbor in earshot. Very quiet and peaceful home with plenty of space for many people.

Perfect Place to Stay in Asheville

We loved the cabin and the location! Everything was perfect except the oven not working. The staff was very helpful in coming to look at it and providing an air fryer, but it did impact some of the food we brought to make while there. Other than that, the rooms, bathrooms, outdoor space, and hot tub were great. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there.

Mountain Getaway

Beautiful mountain home 10 minutes away from downtown Asheville! This was the perfect spot for my bachelorette trip/group, and the house accommodated all 15 of us and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. Plenty of room to spread out, and you can’t beat the views! They texted before and throughout checkin in, and anytime I had a question management would respond within minutes. Check in and out was extremely smooth process. Overall great experience!

Fantastic, cozy cabin!

The place was a perfect location for a bachelorette party. Cozy, huge, and with gorgeous views. Zero complaints whatsoever about the property itself. It was everything we wanted and MORE! My only recommendation is to add a note of caution to the property description, advising that travelers use "Howland Drive" on Google Maps because there is actually another Howland Road in Asheville, about 15 minutes away, that Google Maps directs you to.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view!

Sixteen of us shared this beautiful home when in Asheville for a friend's wedding, and it was great! The view was gorgeous off of the back porch, it was super clean, Mercedes was very responsive, and it was an overall beautiful home. There were Wifi issues, but Mercedes informed us that there was work being done in the area. All in all, 100% recommend this property!

Beautiful Cabin Close to Town!

We absolutely LOVED our trip. We came as a group of 16 girls who all fit very comfortably in this beautiful cabin close to downtown Asheville. It was less than 10mins away from the city, but up in the mountains where we felt secluded and still enjoyed that mountain cabin feeling. The space was clean, WELL STOCKED, and Mercedes was an incredible host! She answered every question promptly, gave us a great hoking recommendation, and overall was extremely kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to have a peaceful vacation in the mountains of Asheville while still being very close to town.

Bachelor Party of 19

Ideal for a large group of friends who want to spend time grilling out, hanging on the decks and exploring local breweries. Ride shares could be problematic, but we always managed to get where we needed to go with enough notice. The grill was small, but manageable, even for a large group. Probably my only complaint was that the main TV wasn't very large, so don't expect to watch the game with a large group while you're there.

Outdated especially for the price

The property is disappointing in many ways for the price that you pay to rent it. The carpet is from the 1970’s, the furniture is about as cheap as it can be and the kitchen appliances lack a whole lot. The AC is extremely hard to regulate as well - the basement is freezing, while the upstairs bedrooms have a hard time cooling down.

House in the Woods

Thanks for the longitude and latitude directions. Google maps took us to a spot 3 miles away when we used the address. Also thanks for the 10 lbs of ice in the refrigerator and the plastic trays since neither fridge has an ice maker. The kitchen fridge is too small for the opening and it looks like someone took a hammer to the stainless steel. I recommend you supply the garage door code since climbing the hill to go into the house each time and opening the door is cumbersome. Please tell renters to keep garage doors shut at all times and cars locked in the driveway. We had a mom bear and 3 cubs on the property 3 times. One time they were in the garage and opened a car door and took 3 bags of garbage out of the garbage can that had a lid on it. Another time the cubs were on the lowest deck. The 3rd time they were foraging the hillside and trying to get in the parked cars. Watching one cub climb a tree and look into the living room was very exciting. The wash machine needs repair. When it goes into spin cycle it sounds like a rock crushing. You can not converse on the main floor. The 8 chairs around the dining room table are very uncomfortable. Thank goodness for the 4 card table chairs. Beds were numerous and comfortable. The furniture in the Master Bath has deteriorated badly from the moisture (particle board furniture does that). The pictures and description were accurate. The problems listed are obvious until you get there.

Perfect place to reunite with old friends

The house was wonderful, clean and spacious for our group of 10 girlfriends! Mercedes was so easy to communicate with and quick to respond even before arriving. It makes for such a great experience when you know your host genuinely cares about and prioritizes your experience as a guest! We were all able to be in the kitchen area comfortably while prepping and cooking meals and fit around the tables to eat and play card games. The deck and view were great and we hope to be back sometime in the warmer months to enjoy it even more! The house is in a great location, easy and short drive to downtown Asheville, which was important to us! Advice to future guests- absolutely worth it to stay here! But I would suggest trying to get to the house for the first time before dark (her check in time allows for that!) but the street before the one the house is on has a number of large ruts and potholes and, like most mountain homes, the driveway is very steep. My truck was fine for it but I was glad to do the drive in the daylight first.

Beautiful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! This is our second time staying and we will be back! The view is unmatched, not to mention how much space this rental has! We had a hiccup of the power going out at midnight and Mercedes helped us contact the energy company to get it back up and running. She is super responsive! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!
