There is much to say here. We often rent homes via VRBO and other companies on the coast of OR, Central OR and other locations many times per year. Pros of this property - 1) LOCATION is great. We could walk to many fun restaurants and an amazing bakery/coffee shop and the waterfront walking zone. 2) Dog friendly -it was great to take my dog on many neighborhood walks. Our dog has special needs and this house was perfect. 3) Living room and bedroom - the furniture is nice and easy for lounging/reading. The bed is comfortable and so is the bedding. We slept well. Cons - 1) Very dirty. The bathroom is SO bad that I recommend it be gutted. The materials (tub, flooring, toilet) are all so old they are likely impossible to clean. There are many spots of what looks like black mold on the top of the bathroom walls ceiling (see photos below). All rentals appear to neglect deep cleaning in our experience. I think the daily cleaners never get enough time to do what is needed. The bathroom sink does not drain. The tub is too old and has pink mold that won't wash off with the cleaner in the house. The shower is very narrow (with the human on the inside) and the old /dirty shower curtain liners stick to your body while you try to clean up. That feels gross. Replace all of the face plates and switches for lights and oven drip plates. The windows on the inside are black with dirt around the panes of glass. Lots of cob webs and dust bunnies in corners on the floor.

Great location for walking anywhere in town, including river walk. Fun to have all the brewpubs and maritime museum within about 3 blocks. Host was attentive and friendly.

Had a wonderful stay in the cottage! Check in instructions were clear and proactive. The cottage felt homey and welcoming, and I really appreciated all the extra touches like toiletries/hair dresser in the bathroom, cooking spices and cleaning supplies in the kitchen, and laundry detergent and clear instructions for using the washer. It was also a great location, walkable to the main blocks of downtown Astoria, and having offstreet parking was a nice to have convenience. Would definitely enjoy coming back for a longer stay.

Great Cottage!

We were so pleased with this cottage. It’s in a great location to walk to almost everything in town. The cottage is nicely decorated and fully equipped with everything you would need. What a treat it was to come back from town to 4 deer chilling in the front lawn. I highly recommend this place on your next visit.

Astoria Visit

This property is located in easy walking distance of most of what we would want to see. We enjoyed jogging along the waterfront, restaurants, shopping, and hiking to the column. Managers are easy to communicate with. Entry & wifi were easy. Not fancy, but totally fine. Would stay here again. Cheers.

Fantastic location and home!

We came for a one night stay, and this house and location was excellent. Everything was just as described, we were able to walk a few blocks to dinner downtown, and walked around the neighborhood in the evening. Communication with the host was great, and we’ll stay here again in the future if we can!

The place was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen had everything (except a steamer basket) that anyone could want. The beds were comfortable as well. So, I was very happy with the place and the parking was right by the front door!

Perfect Location in Astoria

This cute and cozy light filled cottage was just perfect for a quick overnight stay. Super clean, comfortable beds and the charm of Astoria too. Great neighborhood to walk and view the old homes- so fun. We walked to Fort George for dinner after a day of exploring the many antique shops. Very responsive and accommodating owner as well. Love Astoria!!

Great little in town location for couple with dogs

Nice stay, perfect for us. Only consideration might be for individuals that cannot do stairs, for us the house was perfect. Was great to,have a space so walkable with great parking that did not share walls with anyone that allowed our two large dogs. Rare find.
