The house was perfect for our family. Check in was super easy, the kitchen had everything we needed and was nice and open. We used the kayaks that were included in the home rental, and that was great! The location is absolutely beautiful, I would highly recommend staying here with your family!!

Great cabin, great hosts

Cabin is clean and as advertised. Hosts were very accommodating and left tons of information for us. Have stayed here twice now and the experience is consistent!

Perfect lake houss

This was the best rental experience I’ve had. Everything was clean, in order and exactly as advertised. The host was so helpful and nice. The house is AMAZING. We had six women staying and there was plenty of room. The lake is absolutely beautiful along with the outdoor space. Perfect summer get-a-way!

We thought the property was wonderful. Only problem we had was I could not get down to the pier due to my use of cane for walking and no rail on final steps. Otherwise it was a great family time.

Great cabin close to Atlanta

Stayed here with a group of 8 for the sno*drift rally. The cabin was clean and nicely appointed. Rodney and Kathy even left a big basket of snacks for us to enjoy which was a very nice touch. Great location on the lake but not too far from Atlanta. 10/10 would stay here again

I almost don’t want to tell you how wonderful this property is. We want to keep it to ourselves. Jk, House was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated, beds very comfortable. Plenty of seating throughout the house/deck and beach area. Love that’d Rodney and Kathy allow guests to use their kayaks. The family loved exploring the lake on them. We’ve camped at Clear Lake many times and we love how clean the lake is. Also, Rodney and Kathy were very pleasant and accommodating throughout the process from booking through our stay! We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Escape

excellent rental lake house property!!! The rental had everything you could possibly need for an extended stay or even a short stay. Notes made very clear on how to maintain or locate specific items throughout the property. The listing did state there was a hot tub that was not on the property. All in all, our stay was amazing!! Thank you Hawks!!!

Gorgeous Lake

We did a long weekend, the lake was amazing crystal clear. The cabin was clean with lots of room with an open floor plan kitchen/living room. Beautiful large front porch over looking the lake. There was a nice fire pit with plenty of seating. The bathrooms were so large and spacious. The town is about a 10 minute drive and there was a large local grocery store. We went to dinner at a place called Manzana's and it was so good. Our overall stay was perfect with no issues.

Excellent Property

Easy to book and owner always responded quickly to any inquires we had. They helped us locate a boat to rent. Easy to enter house on day of arrival. They emailed to check if everything was ok throughout the week. Property was outstanding. New cottage with ample room for 11 people including 7 kids ranging from 12-24. Beautiful quiet small lake to tube and fish on. Loved the porch and deck by the water. Property included kayaks and paddle boards. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms spacious. Kitchen had every utensil u would need. Great trails around lake to walk and run. Beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice family vacation.

A perfect quiet up north Michigan getaway :)

Oh my gosh I am still reeling from the amazing time my husband and I had at this beautiful lake property. Not only was the house super spacious and roomy with all the amenities you could ever need, but the view and outdoor space was just absolutely beautiful. Waking up to that gorgeous crystal clear lake, with all the comforts from home from a Coffee bar to stocked bathrooms, air conditioning, spacious kitchen, soft beds and comfortable bedding was all we could ever want or need. We are now officially ruined for hotels forever because the Hawks spoiled us rotten with their place. Once we got over the beautiful spot and the peaceful quiet that greeted us everyday, we couldn’t ask for a better location to all of Michigan’s cute north towns. We were never more than 1.5 hours from one of our destinations for the week and we made it everywhere! From Alpena to Petoskey to Rogers City and Harbor Springs, we were able to explore at our leisure, saw everything we wanted to see and never felt rushed once. We will absolutely be making this a yearly tradition and we feel so blessed to have found this great spot! Thank you for the amazing stay! - Nathan and Lindsey Germaine

Girlfriends & Kids Weekend

My lifelong girlfriends and I came for a weekend girls and kids getaway to celebrate close to 40 years of friendship. It was a quick trip (we weren't ready to leave!) so we didn't have time to explore the town or nearby attractions - but also didn't need to because we had so much to do on the property. The house was extremely clean and stocked with every single thing anyone could need. Seriously, these hosts have thought of everything! We loved having paddleboards available to explore the gorgeous lake and even just use to float on while the younger kids played on the lilypad. The giant porch was our main gathering place for the weekend, but having the deck above the boat house was a great addition for being close to the water. Lots of room to play outside for the kiddos, and the house didnt feel even a tiny bit cramped even with 4 adults and kids between 12-6 mos. We will be back as a group for sure, and are all planning on coming with our respective families or other groups of friends. Hosts are excellent with communication, instructions, and check in/out qas a breeze. 10/10, highly recommend for a peaceful trip full of gorgeous water and sunsets!

Amazing time at the "Yellow House"

Wow! We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful house and didn't want to leave. We wanted to celebrate my father in law's 76th birthday together since 4 out of 5 of his kids happened to be in Michigan at the same time. We chose this house and we were so excited to have a fun relaxing weekend and that is exactly what we had! First, it was so clean and organized. The host provided a welcome basket filled with lots of goodies but they also put birthday decorations and a birthday card to celebrate. There were tears shed! It meant the world that there was so much thought into welcoming us. There are notes everywhere through out the house, which we really appreciated especially the tick information and tick tool. There was enough towels, beds, sheets, cups, chairs, and so much more for our big group. So much is provided that you don't have to take much to this house. All the details have been thought of. Now, outside...amazing! Paddle boards, kayak, dock, little beach, chairs, swings. Everyone had a blast!!! The kids never wanted to get inside. Thank you Hawks Family!! Your beautiful family vacation home is amazing. We will definitely bring visit again soon.
