Overall it was cozy, the common areas were comfortable, the beds were comfortable and it had most amenities you would expect. Communication with the owner was good and she tried to accommodate an early check in for us. The place really needs a freshen up. There is a strong odor (like sulfur) coming from all the shower drains that is so off putting. There is mold between the glass shower blocks, lots of duct tape on the floors at room transitions. A lot of chipped paint, missing grout etc. we didn’t swim in the pool because we were busy. The kitchen is fine, the fridge is very old, cook ware, dishes, glasses very missmashed considering what the house rents for. There is a nightly rate, Vrbo fee, boat fee it all adds up to an expensive stay for dated decor. The bannister was extremely loose and the ceiling fan in the master was very loose to the point of not wanting to use it. Bare minimum on the towels etc. for the cost, I don’t really see the value. A lot of uneven areas in the floor contribute to tripping and falling hazards.

We very much enjoyed the outdoor amenities. We spent the majority of our time outside by the pool and hot tub. Beautiful scenery, plenty of outdoor seating and lots of shade. Property is very clean and well maintained.

Family weekend

There are multiple areas for visiting as a group or for quiet conversations. The kitchen is well equipped, and games for all ages are available. We enjoyed watching deer walk by. The pool is lovely.

Excellent choice for multiple adults/family

Great place to stay for a family wedding in the area. Quiet, ample parking, close to many attractions. The spa is sure nice after a long day! Our hosts were very responsive to any of our questions. Super nice to have so many bedrooms with their own bathrooms.

Gamily reunion

Perfect home, yard & location for family wedding at Camp Lucy. We had 11 family members total ranging from ages 4 to 79.Room with smaller TV was perfect for the two youngest kids to escape the adults as needed & watch Scooby Doo. Lots of rooms for smaller groups to chat or play games.

Family wedding weekend

Location was prefect! Booking, communication and check in super easy! House was clean, had plenty of linens/towels and kitchen cookware/accessories. Only thing missing was a scraper/spatula! Pool and hot tub helped sore muscles after an evening of dancing! Would definitely stay again!

Wedding in the Hill Country

My son got married and our family stayed at this property since it was closer to the the venue. The property had plenty of space, had everything you needed and is in a great location. We wished we would have spent more time there. It has 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 downstair and a den. I do wish the den was enclosed, my mother slept in the den because she did not want to go up the steps. It still worked out. Only recommendation is that the property does need some updating, but it was clean and what we needed for this event.

Excellent Stay

We loved everything about this property. The house was amazing. Big. Clean! Wish we would have stayed longer. Busy with a wedding, we couldn’t really enjoy all the amenities. The pool was gorgeous. The deer every where was awesome. Everything stocked. I would recommend and or stay again if we find ourselves in Texas again. My host, Austin was amazing and got back with me promptly and supportive. So easy to deal with. Thank you for sharing this lovely home w my family.

Beautiful setting

The house was very clean and well appointed on a beautiful, private and large lot. The pool was such a bonus. It was not far from town but you felt you were miles away. It was also a nice change not be inundated with house and property rules! A great rental!

There were 7 of us and plenty of beds for all. The house was clean and well stocked with what we needed. Pool was well kept and wonderful place to relax in the hot weather. Would highly recommend this home!

Great home base for a wedding trip

Our family flew in from multiple states for a wedding. The house was pristine and in good repair. We enjoyed watching the horse and goat across the back fence at the end of the big backyard, the hot tub and pool, and especially having a comfortable place to visit with family we see so rarely. We picked up groceries nearby which made mornings relaxed. The manager was very responsive. The price ended up being reasonable even with all the taxes and fees. I’d stay there again.

Dripping Springs Delight!

We were visiting friends that live in Dripping Springs and this was a perfect spot for us to stay! The 4 bedrooms and bathrooms worked well with our group size and there was a lot of fun activities for the kids to enjoy while we were at the house!

Beautiful place full of deer

Property was great, had plenty to do and space. We woke up every morning to dozens of deer grazing and wandering. This was a pleasant surprise. Shuffle board was fun and tons of games for family time. Thanks, if we’re in the area again, we’ll definitely book again.

I don’t normally write reviews but felt a need to in this one

Overall this is a good house. But….Upon arrival I had a few questions like where I could find more towels and how to work the air conditioning. The property manager was quick to answer but it was determined that the air conditioning was not working. He did send people out to fix it but that took 2 days to figure out the problem. The refrigerator was leaking water the entire time we were there. The property manager knew about the leak and they were waiting for a part.They really need to organize the kitchen and get some instructions posted for the stove. There is a trash compactor (doesn’t work)that is in serious need of a deep clean. The master bath downstairs has no blind or shade on the window. You can see right into the bathroom from the backyard. No showering when anyone is outside. I have addressed these issues (and a couple more) with the property manager. I realize that things break but the air conditioning and the refrigerator were broken when we arrived. I have been in communication with the property manager for the last 2 weeks but they are slow to respond to my request for compensation. If they address the issues this property currently has it would be a decent choice. Hopefully they will do the right thing issue a fair refund that makes us both happy.
