The Space

Our 1930s guesthouse was extensively remodeled to meet modern lifestyle needs — no off-gassing from new building materials, no germy carpets, just a safe and eco-friendly stay. The guesthouse is located in the heart of Austin, Texas.

We're a professional couple living in a separate structure on the same property, so we're on hand to help you get situated and make the most of what Austin has to offer.

We maintain the house with green cleaning in mind — healthier for our guests and better for the environment. You won't have to deal with the smell of heavy cleaning chemicals. The property is surrounded by 100+ year-old pecan trees and dozens of fruit trees. We also keep an organic vegetable garden, so you might spot us in the yard weeding or harvesting. With tree views from all four sides, we named our guesthouse The Pecan Tree House. It sits on the second level, above a storage space below, with no adjoining living spaces.

Whether you're in town for a business trip to downtown Austin, a UT football game, or one of the city's many popular festivals, our great residential neighborhood near downtown makes it easy to get around. Parking is free and abundant, either on our driveway or on our dead-end street.

We're within walking distance of the UT campus and popular coffee shops and restaurants. If you're inclined to cook a gourmet meal, you'll have a full kitchen with all the cookware you need. One of the largest HEB grocery stores is just a half-mile away. And if you want to work off some Austin BBQ, Hancock Golf Course and the Greenbelt are right around the corner.

The kitchen includes a coffee maker, four-burner gas cooktop/oven, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, and dishwasher — plus appliances like a Vitamix, Dyson, Cuisinart, and air purifiers.

The bedroom area includes built-in closet storage with plenty of hanging space and drawers. The bed is a queen-size, Sealy adjustable bed — you have to try the zero-gravity relaxation setting. We also offer can't-live-without-it USB charging stations at every table and desk.

The office area includes a desk and chair, with a stacked washer/dryer in a closet for longer stays — so you can travel light and enjoy Austin more.

The bathroom is en suite, offering a spa-like shower experience, a bidet seat, and a Dyson hair dryer so you don't have to pack a bulky one.

The living room has windows on three sides (five windows total) with great treetop views. The comfortable sofa converts into a queen-size bed, accommodating up to 4 guests total.

Both the bedroom and living room feature HD TVs with Bose and LG sound systems, offering cable channels and Netflix for your downtime on a lazy day.
