“This was our 3rd vrbo stay in Harpswell and our first on Bailey Island. We went for part of the week on our own and cousins joined us there for a couple of days. He immediately and pleasantly attended to a couple of house problems noted the first and second day of our stay.The four upstairs bedrooms were air-conditioned, adequately-sized and had en-suite bathrooms. “Dating from 1918, vacationing in this cottage was a quiet visual delight. The view from the front porch, overlooking the evergreen trees and blueberry bushes, out to the ever-changing ocean will stay in my mind throughout the year. The house itself is much the way it has always been, simple, rustic and quiet; off the beaten path, a retreat with few conveniences, a great place to look and contemplate, to read and draw. For us, it was perfect.”
