“Was a great stay and Claire was was a wonderful host! We rolled in late in the afternoon and had a comfy nap before roaming for dinner. Breakfast was great and the space is so well curated! “Me and my girlfriend wanted a weekend away close by and chose Ruthin. We saw the Feathers which was very close to the centre. We booked two nights. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown our room and the amenities. It was only then I realized I'd booked a room with a shared bathroom. “Fantastic bb in a quiet part just off main street. A great base for exploring all that the area has to offer. We did Zip wire and Snowdon in the time we had. Rooms spotless and very comfortable with a great shower. Lovely guess lounge and really nice breakfast room with and excellent breakfast. Loved the homemade baked beans. Dave is a fantastic house, very welcoming, friendly. We wouldn't look anywhere else when staying in Betwys Y Coed now we found Summer Hill. Thanks Jo and Roy. ”

“The photographs of the property do not do this house and gardens justice. There were 14 of us staying and it’s the best house we’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain, with an Aga and separate oven. Seating in the house is plentiful and the grounds are stunning. We could easily walk for dinner into Bala as well as stroll down to the lake. The children had a swim in the leisure centre as the lake is a tad cold in May! It’s worth every penny to stay here....

“Clean and well fitted out (as described) and in a good location for harbour and beach. Friendly staff. I was initially concerned at a lack of information about where we could park, but once we had got to the place to ask, turns out they have a free parking space nearby for guests and we were not rushed out of it when we checked out so we had an extra couple of hours on the harbour with no parking problem. Great to have good air conditioning - gets hot in the attic room - and controllable blinds...
