Like something out of a disney movie with all the animals hanging about. Hosts were awesome! Cabin cozy and river nice! So lovely and relaxing. Close to town, which was also charming. Great getaway! Want to go again!

Beautiful quiet setting

Check in was a little confusing at first but probably due to the last minute reservations on our part. Breakfast was delicious!

This trip exceeded anything we thought ! The beautiful deer and property was fantastic ! The hosts were wonderfully sweet and breakfasts were country classics ! A perfect way to relax and enjoy life ! Thank you !!

Fantastic quiet retreat

This was such a peaceful and relaxing place my husband didn't want to leave. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were amazing!! We ate at the picnic table surrounded by dear and squirrels. Brett and Jill are incredible hosts! We will positively go back.

Pleasant Stay

Lovely property with very nice owners. Didn’t realize the second cabins proximity to the first cabin however was fine as other guests were quiet.

Great Getaway

My children and I had the opportunity to stay at the Double U Barr Ranch- Texan Cabin. The room was comfortable, the space was just right, and the breakfast was a delight. Our stay had all the accommodation we needed and with some extras. The owners are a very pleasant couple and we are so thankful to have met them. I recommend this place if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be back.

Country Get Away

This cabin is a great place to escape to get away from it all. It is a small cabin on a working ranch. The owners ' house is nearby and they are friendly to talk with. The owner cooks an amazing breakfast for you! There are cats, a horse, a donkey, longhorns, geese, ducks, and lots of deer. The spring fed creek is pretty and next time I hope to do some fishing in it! The place is far from town but not too difficult to reach. It is near Bandera and Kerrville, and an hour from Fredericksburg. The cabin is nice, but small. It has a firm queen bed and two softer twin beds. The kitchen is just a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom is small with a shower. The internet and satellite TV worked well. I recommend this for couples or families with little ones. Older kids would be fine if they enjoy the outdoors and fishing. It is a great place to sit on the porch and read or just relax.

Wonderful family getaway!!

Our family of 4 stayed at the ranch this past week and it was possibly the greatest highlight of our 8 days touring Texas. The grounds were beautiful, the cabin was very comfortable (we loved all the Texas decor) and we had access to everything we needed. All of it was wonderful but Rancher Brett and Jill really were the best amenity! Brett welcomed us right away and spent time showing our city kids how to feed and tend to all the amazing animals on the ranch. Our kids unplugged from devices and completely plugged into the ranch! Breakfast with Jill and Brett in the morning was delicious and a wonderful time to learn about our hosts! We felt like we had a home in Bandera!

Very pretty property and loved seeing the animals around it.

Great little cabin and hangout area around it, nice seeing animals around you. The owners were great and made an awesome breakfast. Would deffinetly go back, close to town.
