  • Bar Harbor House sits right on the edge of downtown, making it an easy 10‑minute walk to the village for shopping, dining, and waterfront access. The Acadia National Park entrance to Cadillac Mountain is just around the corner. Guests can reach Eagle Lake, Duck Brook, and Witch Hole Carriage Road within minutes. Eagle Lake Road truly lives up to the name, just look up to spot bald eagles or peregrine falcons soaring overhead or nesting nearby. The back field is a natural crossing for deer, turkeys, and other wildlife that wander through. Just across the street is Kebo Valley Golf Course, the 8th‑oldest golf course in the United States. Driveway parking for 2–3 vehicles will help you avoid searching for downtown spots and paying meter fees. Secure storage is available for bikes, kayaks, fishing gear, golf equipment, and more. Inside, a well‑organized brochure wall offers maps, local information, and up‑to‑date island activities to help you plan each day with ease. Avoiding congested Acadia Visitor Centers will save time and frustration! My family has lived on the island for six generations, and we love sharing the history, stories, and hidden secrets of Acadia. Deb and her family were the most accommodating, and thoughtful hosts who opened their home and treated us like family. When we go back to Bar Harbor, we will definitely rent here again. The house was so clean, in a great location and had everything that we could possibly need and more. This was an A.house and host.

Thank you for all the care you put into making the house such an incredible little retreat. It really felt like it was our home this weekend, and we really appreciated the little details: the night lights with sensors in every room, the first aid kit, and the board games. The kitchen was also impressively well-stocked! Can’t recommend this spot enough.

Fantastically appointed and located vacation rental. The owners deserve more than five stars for their kindness, communication, attention to detail, local recommendations, home design and special touches. I’ve never before stayed in a vacation rental where everything you would want or need has been taken care of so you can relax and enjoy your vacation. All furnishings, appliances, and dishes are like brand new. Beds and linens are super comfy and luxurious. One of the cleanest properties I’ve ever stayed at. Please don’t hesitate to book this property.

We had a wonderful time exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor in this lovely home with our 4 adult kids. The place was immaculate and everything you could need is right at your fingertips and clearly labeled too ! Deb is an outstanding host with so much knowledge of the area and a joy to communicate with as well ! Would not hesitate to recommend this house for future travelers ! Thanks so much ! The Mays

One of the best rental experiences that we've ever had. Deb was super responsive and thoughtful in all of her communication. She was in touch and available with any questions that we had. Easily the most well stocked rental we've ever been in. Recommend without reservation and we will be staying here again in the future. There were 5 of us and easily could've fit several more.

Deb was a gracious and generous host who provided timely and detailed communication about the accommodations, local sights, and even strategies for getting Cadillac Mountain parking permits. The house was clean and pleasant. My family enjoyed the privacy of four bedrooms, the communal living room, and the functional and well-stocked kitchen. We hiked every day, went on a birding walk at Sieur de Monts, and took an Acadian cruise to see lighthouses and nesting puffins. A wonderful trip!Note: The house is on a main drive, and while the walk into town is a pleasant 10-15 minutes, the road has limited sidewalks.

The house is great, clean and well stocked. Awesome location... walk into Bar Harbor, short ride into Acadia. Perfect spot for a family wanting to spend a lot of time in Acadia.

From the very beginning, communication with the host, Deb, was fantastic. We knew exactly what to expect before arrival, and the house lived up to expectations. The house was very clean, very well stocked with supplies, and there were plenty of tips for activities. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes to downtown Bar Harbor and a few minutes from Acadia National Park. Deb made sure that our stay was perfect, and we appreciated the small touches that helped with our stay. We were traveling with a 3-year-old, and there was a gate for the stairs, and even had a cute heart night light that our daughter loved. The house had plenty of room for our family, which was nice since the weather was less than ideal. If we have the opportunity to make it back to Maine, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay! The location is very convenient to town and Acadia, instructions were clear, communication with the owner was easy. There was plenty of room for our family to have our own space and they were well stocked with everything we needed to cook, clean and do laundry. It was very comfortable!

Everything went very smoothly, the house was very clean and organized and perfect for our family of 5. Great location as well. Can’t say enough good things about Deborah, she went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and her communication was great! Definitely the best Vrbo experience we have ever had.

The Bar Harbor house was perfect for our family of 5. It was very clean and in a perfect location. Deborah communicated very well and was super thoughtful giving us insider tips and stocking the kitchen with so many necessities to make our trip more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone going to the Bar Harbor area!

Family vacation

Great property and owner. Short walk to town and short drive to the park. We enjoyed eating and shopping in town. Acadia park had great trails. The property was well stocked with kitchen equipment and food.

Acadia family vacation

Our stay was amazing and the house was perfect!! So close to the park and restaurants made it so convenient. The owners Deb and Dan provided us so much info and was available immediately for any questions. Five stars for the house and our stay and Deb and Dan!!

Deb and Dan go above and beyond! This home was beautiful, clean, spacious and stocked with anything you may need for your stay. We would definitely rent this home again if we were visiting the Bar Harbor Area.

The house is on a steep incline with many stairs so it prepared us for all the hiking we did during our stay.The owners gave us great tips and ideas for things to do and see while there. We had a great time!!

Great House, Great Host

This house was great for our vacation. It's close enough to downtown to do things there, but far enough away not to be affected by the crowds of tourists. Deb was always asking if we needed anything. The house has books of information about the island from a local's point of view. We loved our stay.

Above & Beyond Host

Amazing location— ~20 min walk to town and~15 min drive to Acadia hikes Deborah went above and beyond to host us even setting us up with some starter groceries and a bunch of recommendations. House is clean and comfortable. Would certainly recommend!

Saw property online. Very convenient to park & Bar Harbor. Deb easy to work with & contact if needed. Provided us with breakfast when found out we had travel delays. Would stay there again.

Beautiful home in a convenient location! Deb went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Many “extras” were available if needed, snacks, condiments, coffee, toiletries etc. A deer was in the back yard for hours one morning!
