What a wonderful home - the "cottage" is well-maintained, from the beautiful interiors to the lovely landscaping and patio outside. We were a family of three - our fourth had to cancel - but even larger families will have plenty of room to spread out in this one. The beds were very comfortable - note that the master bedroom with the TV in the back with the master bath is a Queen-sized bed although the king-sized bed is in the front of the house. We did not make use of the two twin beds (shared bathroom with the king-sized bedroom) but they also looked very comfortable. The spacious dining room and kitchen is a dream - although, we spent more time heading out to restaurants recommended by the owners. The living room was fine for watching TV. Wifi was a bit sketchy at times, but who wants to stay inside when there is so much to explore outdoors?
The owners were marvelous - we met them on the day we checked in - they were out working on the landscaping - they also own the property next door and rent it out as well. They are a fantastic couple who want to ensure your stay is the best. The welcome gift was greatly appreciated. Their earnestness in ensuring we had a pleasant stay was greatly appreciated.
The location is about a short seven to eight blocks (straight shot) to all that historic downtown Beaufort has to offer and there are several streets to choose from so you are not always walking along a busy street but rather having a nice walk in the neighborhood. The walks were appreciated after feasting at some of the wonderful restaurants.
I highly recommend this home - it truly feels like a home with ample parking and a beautiful outdoor area. There is some traffic noise at night - as you are near a main street, so if you are a light sleeper, a white noise machine may help, but it's not a consistent noise level, just some trucks going by now and then - it should not stop you from checking this place out!
