Nice getaway home

Home furnishings were beautiful inside and out. I was a little disappointed in the amenities description as the air hockey table was broken and the pool table was warped on not really usable. There was still glitter all over the home from the New Year's Eve party from previous guests, but that's not really the fault of AvantStay. I don't think the cleaning crew had enough time before we arrived since extra blankets were just crumpled on the floor in closets. Patio was spacious and hot tub was nice.

Enjoyable stay!

The house itself is very spacious. The patios and outdoors are gorgeous. The driveway was very much too steep for both of our SUV’s. We parked in the street which was allowed this time of year. Location is great.

Beautiful Home in Big Bear

Our family had a wonderful stay and were very excited that we received a significant amount of snow fall during our 5 night stay! Pros: -Plenty of space throughout the house (4 bedrooms, 3 bath) -Nice backyard with fenced deck and a hot-tub perfect for cool nights with the snow - Large garage with snow shovels, salt buckets - Master gas fireplace, wood stove in main living room was great to use! - Wonderful communication with host with timely response CONS: - Pool table has major wear and was un-even, it flipped over into an air hockey table the kids enjoyed, however, again outdated and didn't work well - Foosball table upstairs in pieces and non functional needs to be replaced - Carpet old and could be replaced - Some of the furniture with staining and outdated - Older pots/pans utensils, cups etc. Overall our family (3 small kids ages 3-7) had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Snow was awesome. House could use some renovation, updated appliances, furniture etc. Great location, with a prompt host response. Would recommend and come back again in the future.

Christmas for extended family

We had a great time. The house was clean and spacious and we enjoyed our time there. We used the fireplace, played inside in the open living room / kitchen and played outside in the backyard. We had a great time :)

Comfort Stay in Big Bear with views

Our overall stay was awesome!! The house was very close to the village area and in a quiet neighborhood. The layout of the home was really nice. You walk in to the front door, where there is a mud room and there are stairs that lead you to the main house. The house is very comfortable and was perfect for my family with small children. They loved going up and down the two sets of stairs and it kept them entertained. We would definitely go back! Here are my pros and cons. Pros - Good location, all beds were comfortable except the one on the main floor which you could feel the coils, they had plenty of blankets, a grill, seasonings for cooking, coffee maker and filters, blender, dish soap, bathroom amenities, paper towels, the TVs were easy to use and have Netflix and Hulu, good surround sound, lots of kitchen space and large dining table, a very cozy feel, backyard was filled with snow but we manage to take our kids down some of the hills which was so fun, and the best part we’re the views to the lake. It was so pretty!! Cons - it can get really hot and stuffy in the master bedroom and we had to lower the heater to 61 degrees but then the other rooms would be cold. They had kitchen utensils, but it was like one of each item, and pans could use an update. We had to wash them all as many of the kitchen items had a white film on them, the oven was a bit tricky to work, in the room with the uncomfortable bunk bed at night you could hear what I think was the water softener running at night and also the blinds in that room don’t close so you will get all the light in the morning coming through. On our first night we had what looked like big ants with wings or maybe termites come out and welcome us. They were probably looking for warmth and were coming out of the fireplace area only. The rest of the nights we were there we saw maybe one or two so it wasn’t a big deal and we didn’t feel the need to call the property management. We just used some spray and we were good to go. Overall we had a amazing stay and we got one day where it snowed which was really nice!! We did like this house and would stay there again.

Mountain Retreat

We had a great stay. The property was very nice and had everything we needed. The location was great. Views from the balconies were amazing. The hot tub was a perfect way to spend the chillier parts of the day. We enjoyed using the grill for a cookout and the fire pit at night! The only issue we faced is that there was bleach spilled all over the kitchen floor when we arrived. The management was very responsive to our concerns and made a note of it so that we wouldn’t be charged for any damage that may have come from that. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfection

From beginning to end, the process of booking and checking in was so easy. Communication with property management was easily done through text and responded to in a timely fashion. Everyone I interacted with was so nice as well. The cabin was beautiful, just a short walk from town, and had a nice view of the fireworks. We had the best time and would love to stay there again!

This house deserves 6 stars. The views from all the balconies and windows are exceptional, huge patio in the back with everything and anything you can possibly need, the house is literally located 5 minutes from all the best attractions. 6/5 AMAZING!!

Wonderful

This property is a dream. Lovely with spectacular views and very quick to the lake for activities. We had a blast playing pool and fooseball and air hockey and enjoying the hot tub. Very worthwhile

Spacious rooms and beautiful views of the lake on the wrap-around decks

The fully functioning forest-facing backyard space was private and relaxing. Our small group made great use of the well-stocked kitchen, grill, and jacuzzi features. An easy walk down to the town center, but hitch a ride back up the hill! We'd happily visit again!
