The laundry was very convenient in the kitchen. The host(s) were responsive. The rooms were clean. The location was convenient to sites we wanted to see.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute house in Billings. The location was great, close to the airport, restaurants and stores. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy, luggage racks and closets were available for us to use and the kitchen was stocked with lots of coffee pods and half and half which I appreciated! Tammy and Nahum were great hosts and quick to respond when we had a question. I’d recommend staying at the Emerald Cottage!

The only reason it wasn't a five star across the board in my review is that it was a bit quirky to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. That was a minor annoyance for someone who wakes up and needs to get to the bathroom. The accommodations were perfect for my purposes which was to attend my 60th HS reunion. I needed a full-size refrigerator to store both frozen and other items. My stay was marred a bit because of a fall I took and the owners were most sympathetic to my plight. Friends helped load my car for me to ease my Sunday morning departure. Great porch for dining in fine weather.

For those of us on the elderly side, this is not the property for you. Toilet is child size and couch is very low making getting up rather difficult. Queen size bed has egg crate over mattress and is not very comfortable. Key pad lock was tricky and two days I could not lock door from the outside. Might be ok for young family, but not for the elderly!

Overall review

Cute small home but it needs more in depth cleaning. There were sticky spots with visible stuff on the floors, both in bedroom and living area. Sticky spots visible on the coffee table. The bathroom was unclean. When we checked in there was hair on the toilet, hair in the shower under the nonslip mat, mold on the bathroom ceiling. I used a Clorox wipe to wipe yellowish stuff off of the back of the toilet seat.

Emerald cottage

Wonderful little cottage! Clean, neat. Lots of entertainment! The teenagers appreciated the TVs in every room! Filtered, Cold water in frig was very nice after being on the road and having soft drinks from the cooler.

Short Stay

Quaint place with quiet location. Older property, well furnished. Not as 55 friendly as we had hoped, sloped floors, very low toilet and step over the side shower. Primary bed was noisy with every movement and mattress, while lined with an egg-crate topper, not very comfortable or thick. Fireplace is purely decorative and many of the fixtures, e.g. towel bars, bathroom shelves, kitchen chairs and bench were loose or ready to break, with one wrong move. Kitchen appliances worked great as did the laundry machines. Plenty of hot water and once we figured out the heat, we were cozy warm. Cleaners may need to focus a bit more on the nooks and corners at the baseboards & floors, Rugs all needed a good cleaning, and one corner of the rug in the 2nd bedroom was a huge trip & fall hazard. Overall good value for a short, 3-night stay. Probably wouldn't stay there again though.

Visit with my son & grandson

I stayed at this property for 5 days to visit my son and grandson. Neighborhood was great, quiet, peaceful and also good location. The only bathroom was in the front (bunk bed) bedroom. There was a weird smell in the house, not bad, but just a weird smell, but for use to it. Wouldn’t deter me from staying again. I would book for next trip. All in all great place to stay!

Great place for couples or families with small children.

Very quaint & clean home. My only suggestion would be to switch the sleeping situations around. The bathroom is accessed off the room with bunk beds. My elderly mother who needs to be close to a bathroom during the night ended up sleeping in the lower bunk rather than the double bed as we had intended when booking. Other than that, it was wonderful.

Billings, MT

House was stocked very well, in a nice quiet neighborhood, loved the front fenced deck, wager/dryer came in handy. Just wish there was more storage space in the bathroom, that the sofa wasn’t so low and hard to get up off of,, and more lighting above the kitchen cabinets.
