The booking process was smooth but the “17.5% management fee” was excessive in our opinion - having left the apartment clean and tidy and taken all our rubbish down 26 floors to the communal bins.The views are impressive and lift service and cleanliness in the Mercian public areas is impressive. Perfect cultural, shopping, eating and drinking location.The high spot was the prompt and helpful responses from the Your Perfect Stay team to our questions prior to arrival.As requested, we called ahead when we were 10 minutes from the property. After a follow-up call to YPS went to messaging. We sought assistance at the Moda reception desk; the response was very “frosty” and it was explained they had “nothing to do with” independently owned apartments. Following our insistence a message was sent to YPS as a further advice that we were ready to check in. After YPS team member arrived she was very helpful in helping us get our luggage to our room.The apartment is very well equipped but we wanted more than 2 of each items of crockery as constant washing up was necessary. The numerous stains on the bedroom carpet were very off-putting and detracted from the overall impression of cleanliness and maintenance. Given the size of the room and that carpet tiles were used their prompt replacement is not an issue. The shower did not react to temperature control and so we could not have a shower on the first morning although it was subsequently improved for the rest of our stay.
