The Space:
This is the place couples and families can relax, enjoy and make new memories. This newer 2-level, custom built home will meet and exceed your expectations for a mountain vacation. By providing all the special touches and details one would expect in a luxury rental, we make it easy for our guests to enjoy their vacation. This home is set up perfectly for a family or 1-2 couples to vacation together. This is the ONLY 2 king en-suite bedroom vacation rental property in a community of much larger 4-7 bedroom homes. Enter into the open great room and kitchen with soaring ceilings and a floor to ceiling stone wood burning fireplace. There are two king bedroom en-suites on each level. The main floor suite has double granite sinks, and a walk in shower and a water closet. There is also a half bath and a laundry closet on the main level. The upper level suite features a loft, king bedroom with sliding doors out to a covered balcony with amazing long range mountain views. The upstairs bathroom has double sinks and a separate water closet with a tub shower. The loft has a queen pull out sofa bed with a very comfortable mattress. The home can accommodate 6 comfortably in beds. There are 3 smart TV's in the house for you to connect to your favorite streaming service. We have NEWLY INSTALLED FIBER internet (speeds around 600-700mb up/down) that handles most needs including streaming movies, downloading, zooming, gaming, etc. This is a great home for a flex-cation! Much of the house cabin decor was acquired locally in Black Mountain and Asheville. Bring your Tesla or EV! We have a Tesla charger at the property for your use. If you have another EV, please bring your Tesla adapter. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit, hot tub, charcoal grill and large covered deck spaces to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and long range mountain views.

The Neighborhood:
Bordering a vast forest preserve, Catawba Falls Preserve is a gated community with stunning views of the Pisgah National Forest. You'll feel a thousand miles away in your mountainside vacation home, yet you are only 20-30 minutes from the culture and conveniences of Asheville and Black Mountain. There are numerous hiking trails, streams and rivers, and waterfalls all nearby in the neighborhood. Wildlife is abundant in the Preserve. The most common animals that you may encounter are deer, wild turkey, rabbits, birds, fox, and black bears.

Other Things to Note:
The property is very quiet, peaceful and private and sits on 2 acres with breathtaking views all around. The wrap around deck has comfortable seating. Relax in the cozy outdoor furniture, hammocks and rocking chairs. The upstairs has a covered balcony to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with those long range mountain views. The amazing outdoor spaces are the place for relaxing and enjoying the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature.

The home and kitchen are very well stocked with all your basic supplies needed for your vacation week. We make it easy to come and immediately start enjoying your vacation. The kitchen features everything one would need for a relaxed trouble free vacation. There is both a regular drip coffee maker, a Keurig coffee maker and a hot water kettle. The beds are all made up prior to your arrival and we provide clean towels and linens.

We take cleaning our home very seriously and pride ourselves on providing one of the cleanest vacation homes you have ever stayed in. We have instructed our crew on the latest recommendations such as using the highest heat setting for washing linens and towels, airing out the house during cleanings, disinfecting all surfaces including counters, door knobs, light switches, remotes, railings, etc.

We keep our availability calendar up to date. Please check our calendar before inquiring about availability. We usually respond to all email inquiries right away or within a few hours. We have a 2-3 night minimum requirement in the off season (Sept, Dec-May excluding holidays and spring break) and a may have 4-7 night minimum in season depending on the week (Memorial Day through Labor Day and October with a Saturday turnover) and all holidays and spring break.

Pet Policy:
We understand the importance of wanting to travel with your best friend. We allow up to 2 well behaved and housebroken dogs with prior approval and paid pet rent fee of $150. Only well behaved and trained dogs please. No puppies or dogs that scratch or chew. Dogs are not allowed on any furnishings. Please let us know the breed, weight and age of your dog(s) for approval. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick medications prior to arrival. Dogs may not be left unattended. Sorry, no cats or any other animals allowed.

The Region:
Black Mountain, located 15 miles from Asheville on the eastern edge of Buncombe County, is a quintessential small town, complete with a charming and walkable downtown, a thriving arts and crafts scene, and—at 2,405 feet in elevation—access to incredible outdoor adventure.

Named for a mountain range that towers over the town, Black Mountain became a haven for pioneers in the world of art, painting, music, poetry, and architectural design during the mid-twentieth century. Today it remains an artist mecca with multiple galleries showcasing some of the region’s best southern Appalachian arts and crafts.

Check-in instructions will be sent prior to check-in. There is a code to both the community gate and the front door of the home
