We had a great stay at this house. It was perfect for our family of 6. The house was great: clean, modern and a well equipped kitchen. The pool was very nice, and we did pay to have it heated.The house is about 4 miles from the beaches. There are 2 bridges to the Island. Typically it took 25 minutes; but on 2 days it did take 1 hour (1 day it took 90 minutes). Setting off before 11am is advised. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood with grocery stores and restaurants at the end of the street which was very convenient (it is not a vacation neighborhood), although a neighbor did have a party from 11am-9pm the Sunday after we arrived. The downside of this property was the Property Manager/Rental company. We have stayed in countless homes through VRBO, and many times the homes are managed by companies (which is fine, no issues with that). This time was different though. You contact this company (Vacasa) by text message, but you’re not texting a person…you’re texting a call center with AI bots so getting any information/answers out of them was extremely difficult. For example, the light in the pool was out and lights on the deck were also not working. Eventually the AI bot sent a note to the Property Manager.I asked the property manager on Monday morning if someone could come by to fix any of the lights. I never got a response. I also enquired as the pool was not cleaned during the stay, but no response either. Overall, we liked this house.

Highly recommend we had an amazing stay we loved the cleanliness! The pool was great and very good temp. The beds are comfy just very soft pillows. Location was perfect to very convenient lots of shops, stores etc nearby and ofc the beach!! We will be coming back!!

It was a perfect place for us to retreat to in between activities! We typically book a lot of activities while on vacation and this place was our sanctuary! It’s simple, low headache and served our family with all the necessities that we have at home!

Our six-week getaway at Captain America Dream was our second visit there. (Our previous extended stay was in January 2025.) We enjoyed a pleasurable vacation in a well-maintained home in a conveniently located and welcoming neighborhood. We appreciated the owner’s upgrades: a new dishwasher and refrigerator, and repairs to the main bathroom, back patio and fence. The landscaping remains extraordinary. This year, we took advantage of the fitness center at the nearby G. T. Bray Park recreation center. Vacasa’s local property manager was very responsive when we needed assistance with a couple minor issues. Again, our only annoyance was the daily charge for heating the pool during a chilly January and February, but the total rental cost was still a fair value. All in all, Captain America Dream is still a favorite for a winter visit to Bradenton/Sarasota.

4th of July vacation

We had a fantastic stay with our family at this property. The layout of the home worked perfectly for our needs. The pool and backyard were amazing!! The kitchen was stocked well with utensils and cookware. The neighborhood was in a great location and had easy access to Cortez Ave W for shopping needs. There were a few things that could’ve used improvement. There were very tiny / not full rolls of very inexpensive toilet paper in both bathrooms. We had to purchase more… the body wash in the main bedroom bathroom was not replaced and barely had any… there was more than plenty shampoo/conditioner. The trash was not emptied in the kitchen and the outdoor bins for regular trash were overflowing from previous guests… there was also trash placed in the recycling bin that was left from previous guests. A suggestion would be to label trash bins in the kitchen (recycling and garbage) and also somehow get trash removal prior to new guests. The dishwasher was not clean and dirty dishes from previous guests were still inside. There was globs of hair around the side of the pool area. The main bedroom mattress made us feel like our heads were inverted … our bodies were higher than the bed even with the pillows… we even looked under the bed to make sure something hadn’t broken . Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt safe. Thank you so much.

Great Place in a Great Location

We stayed for a week here. This home is in a very quite neighborhood just blocks from shopping, coffee and dining. It Is a short drive to the ocean and island. My wife and I were happy with the space. The home is well stocked for even a larger group. Lots off silverware and dishes. On the second day of our stay the pool services came by to serviced the pool. The pool was great. We will definitely check this units availability the next time we're in the area.Scott & Pam

Mini Staycation

We visited family in the area and we had a great time. The property was great, clean and just perfect for what we needed. The pool was heated and we were able to enjoy some time using the patio. We would definitely come back to this property and 100% recommend to all.

Liked that the house is close to a park, beach, restaurants, church. Kids enjoyed the heated pool and appreciated the swim toys. The outdoor bathroom was nice to have (although dirty because it is exposed to the outside weather) The beach toys were great, especially the beach wagon. Unfortunately, the beach canopy was broken and we could not use it. The beach umbrellas were also broken but we were able to make them work. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, tableware, and cooking pans/bowls you could want. However, the dishwasher must have had a clogged screen or blocked arm because the dishes did not come out clean, even after a second washing. Ended up washing most by hand. The washing machine and dryer were greatly appreciated. The house is a little run down and could use some fixing up. Sectional could use a good cleaning and the table/chairs could be replaced or at least refinished because they were "sticky"

A tasteful home and inviting neighborhood

Captain America Dream provided a first-rate vacation rental experience. We appreciated the open design of the living and dining space with its vaulted ceiling. We also liked the separation between the master suite and the guest bedrooms and bath. The kitchen was compact, but it was extraordinarily well-stocked with cookware, cutlery, and utensils. There were enough towels and linen to supply a dormitory. The graceful private pool and elegant landscaping were well-maintained, and we enjoyed ready access to the G. T. Bray public park and recreation center. Families with young children would especially like the plentiful games, toys and beach gear. At first, we were skeptical about booking a unit with an international company, but we became impressed with the responsiveness of Vacasa’s local property manager when we needed assistance. The only annoyance was the daily charge for heating the pool during a chilly January, but the total rental cost was still a fair value. All in all, we had a great visit and hope to come back.

Our stay

Our stay was nice, only bad thing was it wasn't long enough. The house had pretty much everything we needed. The only thing we had to get was food. The pool was nice, the only issue we encountered was the lock code didn't work. But we called and they got us the code for the padlock. The only other issue was very minor. The tensioner for the door on the lanai was broken. But the door still closed and opened just fine. Overall this was a great place and we will stay here again on our trip next year. to bring was

Amazing and beautiful home

I am unsure of where to begin; the house is incredible, with numerous activities and amenities. During my colleagues' and my stay, we engaged in kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and unwound by the pool after a challenging day at work. The neighborhood is tranquil, with friendly neighbors and a welcoming pub at the beginning of the street that serves delicious food. The beach is only a few minutes' drive away. I would undoubtedly give this location a 10-star rating if it were possible, but unfortunately, I can only give it a 5-star rating. The host was extremely accommodating and responded to all of my inquiries promptly. I would be delighted to return in the future.

Rude hosting service

Internet instruction were incorrect. Had to contact multiple times. Stains on couch. Spare sheet reeked. No laundry detergents to even wash stinky towels and sheet. Zero cleaning supplies to wipe up. Floor left socks and feet black. Mop bucket and brrom were full of hair and filthy lFood spashed on wall by trash can. Waste of a cleaning fee. Host Vacasa called shouting at me with attitude with false claim of broken fridge door. We left the house in perfect shape than arriving.

Great location

This vacation house had so much to offer! The location was fantastic - 20 mins to the beach and easy to get to. We loved having all the amenities we needed on hand, plus beach supplies saved us a trip to the store. We had such a great time, we're already planning a return visit! The only downside was that the house could have used a deep clean. Everything was functional, but a little more attention to detail would have made it perfect. Overall, a fantastic stay with a minor drawback. We highly recommend this house.

Great Location!

We were heading to Marco Island but wanted to catch some Pittsburgh Pirates spring training on the way and found this house. The location was PERFECT. Close to the ball park, close to Publix and restaurants. The house was fully-equipped and comfortable for our family of 5. We had a relaxing stay. We loved the pool and enjoyed it each day. We were a short drive to Anna Maria Island. The house was clean and as described. Would recommend!

Captain America House

This property was perfect for our stay in Bradenton. It was clear that no detail was overlooked. The heated pool was fantastic in a chilly January weekend. There were games, puzzles, books and more available. The rooms were great and the open concept family room/kitchen made for a fun atmosphere at meal times. There were plenty of linens and blankets along with beach towels and toys! Perfect location close to beaches, restaurants and soccer fields. We loved it.
