Lovely decor, great location with hiking trails lakes (owner provided 2 kayaks at the dock!), pb, golf, and more. Owner very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Summer in the Mountains

We had a great stay. Rare to find a short walk from houses to the lake and huge flat backyard for kids to play as they enjoy the lake. Connestee is a wonderful community where the house is located. I would encourage anyone looking for a great getaway to consider Golden Arrow.

Fabulous Family Holiday Fun

Fabulous house in an ideal location. The house was immaculately clean; the kitchen had everything we needed including very nice new pots and pans, lots of glasses and plates; the dining room was our hang-out space for nine to eat and play bingo and cards at night. My husband and I loved having a fireplace in the large living area. The teenagers loved playing fuzzball and exploring the area around the lake. Everyone, except my husband and I, went on hikes daily in the mountains and took many pictures of the beautiful falls, etc. Everyone wants to get together in the same house again - next time we can get everyone on the east coast.

All the comforts of home

My family had a wonderful Christmas vacation here. The Connestee Falls neighborhood is beautiful with private trails and lots of amenities. The home had everything we needed and was very cozy and comfortable - the wood burning fireplace was a huge plus and you can’t beat the access to the lake with a picturesque view. Access and check in was easy for our entire party and communication was great. It’s clear the hosts care about providing a good experience for renters, thanks for a great stay!

Great Return Visit to Golden Arrow

Our family gets together in Brevard for Thanksgiving every year. We stayed in this property in 2019 and were so happy to return. We had plenty of room so gather as well as to spread out (which is sometimes needed!). Our long holiday weekend was pretty full, so we did not take advantage of any of the Connestee amenities. We did cook a full Thanksgiving meal and found that the kitchen was, indeed, well stocked. We had plenty of room to sit together in the dining room, plenty of dishes and glassware, a good assortment of serving pieces, and so on. It was truly like being at home! We (7 of us) were disappointed that the ice maker was not working when we arrived, and that there was only a single tray of ice frozen. We were not aware of this prior to arriving, so we were not prepared to provide our own ice (a particular disappointment for my husband as he had been looking forward to putting his mixologist skills to work for his family before dinner on our first night). I recommend guests check with the hosts so they will be prepared to bring their own ice if needed. Checking in at Connestee is pretty easy. Our hosts provided excellent instructions. We loved watching deer, geese, hawks, and even crows from the family room window. We all agreed that Golden Arrow would be an amazing place to return to in the warmer seasons. But even with the leaves off the trees and the cold air, it was beautiful and so peaceful. Thank you Karen and Kevin for being great hosts.

Fall Get Away

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on this property! It was everything it said it was online. We have rented a number of homes in Connesstee over the years and this home was far and away our favorite. The home was very clean and well maintained. The mattress in the primary room was very comfortable. The updates to the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were well done. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and canoe. We enjoyed the many hikes that we did in the immediate area as well as in Pisgah Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway and Dupont State Park!! The fall colors were spectacular! We will definitely be back again!!

Wonderful lake vacation home

We have stayed in many homes in NC and this was one of the best! It was very clean, updated, and it had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and the backyard was huge. The home is in a great area near both forests and the community is full of wildlife. I highly recommend this home!

Clean and comfortable

The house was very clean and three of the four beds were comfortable memory foam matresses. We spent a lot of time on the acreened in porch and enjoyed daily visists from deer. Would definitely reccomend.

The perfect house for a family with boys!

Everyone in my family enjoyed their stay at this beautiful house on the lake. We all enjoyed watching deer graze in the back yard and the kids enjoyed the Foosball table. Even though it rained every day of our vacation we still had a great time.

Wonderful Spring Break Trip

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and very comfortable and had almost everything we needed for our stay. Our teen boys really enjoyed fishing and using the kayaks. Perfect Weekday Getaway

From beginning to end this turned out to be the perfect place for our family's first ever trip to Brevard, NC. Booking was simple, communication from the owners was A+, location turned out to be better than I ever dreamed and the actual house was superb. We have stayed at many a rental in our 22 years of marriage from the beach to the mountains and many places in between but this has to be the CLEANEST rental we have ever had the pleasure of staying at...I mean white socks stayed white clean. Everything we needed and more was provided which made it feel like home. There's so much more I could say but time and space is limited. We hope to book again in the future. There's so much to explore in the area and I know we bearly scratched the surface. I will say the only white squirrel siting we experienced was from the driveway of this house which made it even more special for our youngest 😉

Best house in Connestee

We had a great time and this is a great house. Weather did not cooperate this trip and it rained a lot. This house made the difference. Plenty of room, great kitchen, nice upgrades. We had 6 people total and it was plenty of room. Nice decks, cool charcoal grill. I have stayed at a lot of places in Connestee and this is by far my new favorite. Close to back gate and golf course too.
