When we entered from the front door, the interior first floor appeared to be a bit smaller than the pictures showed it. However,the house is actually a good size with a vast lower level. The property was very much pet friendly, our dog was investigated and looked like he was having a blast. Even though it was cold outside, we still managed to sit a bit in the screened in deck off of the master. We have rented many homes in the past and have never seen a real coffee bar in any of them - until now. Many coffee flavors were available along with tea and creamer - we enjoyed it! The kitchen was was equipped and well organized.

Had a great stay for a long weekend. Loved the entertainment provided and being a quick drive to town while also being secluded up on the mountain. Very clean and as advertised. Hosts were quick to communicate when needed! Definitely plan on returning.

The cabin was amazing! Ashley was great before the stay and dying the stay. We could not believe the amenities provided as well. I highly recommend this cabin and plan to return!

Beautiful home. Great place for all of us to spread out. The four teenagers enjoyed the games and movie theater. The four adults enjoyed the hot tub and cooking every night! All the dishes, pots and pans and grill. It was fun. We tooled around Bryson City, did whitewater rafting at the NOC and tubing on Deep Creek. Thanks for the memories.

Exceptional Family Trip

First let me start out by thanking our hosts Ashely and Sean. They were very attentive and accessible. We booked this location as it could accommodate our group of 7. We were 4 adults and 3 grandkids. 11 y/o grandson and 15/17 y/o granddaughters. Immediately our granddaughters were literally running around on their cell phones showing off the cabin to their friends. The cabin was so spacious that everyone was able to find their very own “perfect” spot to relax and decompress. My husband enjoyed the screened in room to relax and read, my daughter and husband enjoyed the jacuzzi, outdoor seating and of course the game room with their son. The girls had their own hidey holes where they could talk to their friends and share their adventure. While mom and dad took them all out, my husband and I enjoyed the silence of the cabin, the beauty of the outdoors and the sound of nature. We all spent quality time together as a family and enjoyed family meals. I asked the kids to tell me what they enjoyed most about the cabin: 11 y/o enjoyed the game room, theater and shuffleboard that he played endlessly with his dad. 15 y/o stated she loved that there was always something to do and the 17 y/o said she loved the views from the multiple balcony’s and to be able to see the views from different perspectives. This family trip exceeded my expectations. When you walk through the front door and begin your story just remember your possibilities are limitless.

Had a nice relaxing vacation. The driveway is steep and difficult to get in and out with mini van. I would recommend an SUV or Truck for this house. It is a great house if you have kids as our kids loved the game room.

Great Adventure at Firefly Lodge

We ended up with 4 adults and 4 teens for our trip. The teens loved the theatre, game room and hot tub. We had a hard time getting them to even come up to eat. We found everything that we needed to make meals. The cabin is spacious with plenty of room to spread out. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I give it an A!

The top of the mountain

The one word that kept coming up was magical. My brother’s family joined us and we had an amazing time. Big enough to spread out. The teens took over the game room. Close to all the fun but completely out of the way.

Great for families

This cabin is perfect for friends and family. We took advantage of the fun amenities on site; movie room, air hockey, video games, hot tub, shuffle board, fire pit and grill. This was one of the best properties we’ve stayed at, it was so clean and comfortable! We would absolutely stay here again!

5 Star Get Away

The cabin was a perfect location, very clean, lots of space for multiple families & the hosts go above & beyond to make your stay a dream vacation. Check in was easy & communication with host always had a quick response. The only negative is that at time of check in we noted 7 unlocked entry level windows, 1 front door & 1 movie room garage door which is just a safety thing with kids & watching to many secluded mountain scary movies. The door locks and handles are a bit tricky to use but the location is completely safe & well lit outside. We definitely would stay again & highly recommend for others to do so.

Wonderful House for all ages!

We loved this property SO much! It was really clean, a good size and had everything you could need. The owner did not skimp on the furnishings. Our kids, ages 2-4 loved the game room…(even the adults had their time on the air hockey table). The bed rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked with every utensils you could need. We started our morning with the complementary coffee and then fixed a breakfast for 6 adults and 4 children. We all fit perfectly and still had plenty of room. This is a house we can continue to come back to as our family ages. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Great House, Great Views, Wonderfully Appointed!

We had a great time staying at the Firefly Lodge. The house is in great shape, very well maintained and super clean. The home is also very well appointed with everything you need -- we were also very impressed with the attention to detail in making things feel like home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and always love coming to Bryson City!

The Perfect Trip

The house was everything we hoped for and more. The communication was excellent before, during and after the stay. It was a perfect house for two families (4 adults, 4 kids and a dog). Our kids did not ask for their iPads or games once the entire stay. Easy access to amazing hiking though there’s enough to do at the house to never leave. The hot tub was clean to relax the legs, cooked dinner for the group every night (kitchen had everything we needed). We made smores at the fire pit and finished the day with a movie in the theatre every night. It was truly a perfect trip. The only knock I have is that I wish fewer people knew about it so we could have stayed longer. We already cant wait for our next trip to firefly lodge.

Excellent Hosts, Mother Nature had other plans

Unfortunately our stay had to be postponed due to both Hurricane Helene hit the area as well as both Hurricane Helene and Milton hitting our hometown of Manasota Key, FL. Ashley understood our situation and worked with us through the VRBO process. We definitely plan to re-schedule this trip as it was to have been a birthday celebration for both more husband and daughter who share a birthday and were hitting some milestone years. As Hosts ourselves of a vacation rental in Florida we appreciate other hosts who would do what we would have done for our guests in a situation out of their control. We will be back....Thank you to Ashley and Firefly Lodge!

Incredible experience.

This team and owner went above and beyond in helping us and communicating with us immediately following Hurricane Helene. This house is awesome, and the views are incredible. Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area again. Thank you for a great stay!

Family getaway

The property manager is very responsive and offers lots of tips on the area. The house was clean and had the best game room. We enjoyed the hot tub and I imagine that soon when the leaves fall there will be a nice view on balcony

Perfection

Exactly what we wanted. We have stayed in a different cabin in the area each year for the last 12 years. This was our favorite. Very nice inside. Very secluded outside. The game room & theater were a big hit. Description is accurate & owner is friendly. Would definitely recommend.
