“A lovely house in a very nice and quiet location. The house was very clean, spacious and well decorated. We had everything we needed. It was conveniently located for the places we wanted to visit. The recommendations from the owner were very good. The kids loved the mini golf and the Splash park in Parksville. We also visited Coombs, Horne Lake caves and Englishman river Falls. It was nice to be so close to the Little Qualicum Falls, we could even go to swim. A very lovely place”

“My friend (with infant) and I came to the island to visit and soak up some nature. Our stay in Buckley Bay provided beautiful views of the bay, with frequent visits from the seals and otters. The location, while a little ways outside of the main centres, was only a short drive to get to a cafe, nature walks, and restaurants. The house feels very spacious with large bedrooms and ample sitting space to cozy up with a cup of tea or good book.”

“We just stayed for work but it has lots of room, lake access and play area for kids. The house is fully setup and includes everything needed. We had 4 adults staying in each room and were able to park 4 vehicles. Hosts were very quick to respond. Thanks for the stay!”

“The house is designed perfectly for a small family reunion. We celebrated a 90th birthday and it was brilliant. We had dinner parties for 20, using the ample and well-appointed kitchen. It was easy to be all together in the great room, or spread out slightly for smaller conversations on the huge deck or in adjoining tv room.”

“My friend and I were looking for a quiet house in the woods for a few days and this place was just that. The view from the balcony (when it’s not foggy) was so nice and peaceful to enjoy after a long day. Everything inside was clean and tidy. Keep in mind that this house is located on a windy dirt road at the top of a hill. Wasn’t an issue for us and the dry conditions we had but just thought it should be mentioned. It definitely adds to the “remote, woodsy” feel of the place though”

“My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage with our baby and 2 small dogs. It had everything we needed, including a big yard for the dogs to run around in. Tons of things to do nearby with the dogs, including the fantastic trails right next door in Seal Bay (including a beautiful walk to the ocean where we saw Seals and Bald Eagles everytime). There is also a dog friendly leash optional sand beach (Saratoga Beach) within a 20 min drive. Andrea is a fantastic host and we look forward to...

“All in all a great place to stay awhile and put up your feet. Arrival logistics were seamless. We enjoyed our 1 week stay. Hiked local trails and frequently walked beaches and beach trails. The home was well equipped and had all of the facilities for a comfortable living. Enjoyed the wood burning fireplace during the cool nights. The hosts, who were near by, were very supportive and pleasant to deal with.”
