Outdoor living in paradise

Beautiful home with incredibly sweet and helpful staff! The concierge answered all our questions weeks before our trip, booked our transportation & excursion... plus ensured we had groceries ready for us when we arrived! So lovely to not have to worry about that! The home has beautiful large bedrooms with all their own bathrooms. Large outdoor living space that flowed perfectly into the pool area. There's no need to go inside ever!! Beach is only 20 steps away with great big beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas. Incredible views of the beach from the second floor. The road leading to the house is ROUGH, but that's not the property's fault. If we ever make it back to Costa Rica we'll definitely want to stay here again! Pura Vida!

Truly wonderful house, service, and right on the ocean. Just one detail - the road to exit is in terrible shape with huge potholes. I would not take a star away from the review though. 5 stars all the way.

Beware if it rains during your stay - property leaks so one room becomes unusable!

We were initially excited and impressed upon arrival to this beachfront property. The setup of the property is great for a large group and the location is private. Unfortunately, it rained two of the four nights of our stay where we had to evacuate the master bedroom / upstairs area due to the excessive leaks. The roof leaked directly above the bed, on the bed, making that bed and bedroom unusable for half our stay. The interior entrance to the upstairs suite also had a roof / wall leak that flooded the interior entrance so you had to walk through huge puddles if you needed to enter the upstairs during and after the rain. When we first experienced the leak, Diego responded the next morning and sent a cleaning crew to help clean up the mess but it then happened again the next time it rained. Would recommend they remove from VRBO until a permanent solution is in place so that future guests are not impacted by having one less bedroom (the best bedroom and area of the house) and having to evacuate during each rain.

Secluded beach retreat

Loved having the beach basically to ourselves. The house accommodated our group of 9 with varying ages well. The only thing that threw us off at first was the living area downstairs is all outdoor, there is no indoor communal area downstairs. The only indoor communal area is upstairs off the master suite. It was beautiful and we would like to return!

Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our family at Villa Brisa del Mar at Playa Grande.

We could not have chosen a better home to rent for out vacation- clean, comfortable, secure. Beach was the most fabulous we have ever been on. All I’m all 10/10

Total relaxation and spoiling bound to happen the week you stay here

This home was Exquisite we spent the majority of our time outside by the pool and under the covered roof playing games listening to music and just overall taking in the scenery. It was absolutely wonderful that we could all control our air conditioning in our rooms and how clean everything was the kitchen is fully stocked there's not a thing in there that you could possibly want. The concierge Diego was incredible helped me out with a trip to urgent care that I needed to have due to a previous illness he recommended somewhere and called ahead for us Carlos was on site 24/7 and was always there to open the gate for us we wondered if he ever slept!

Private paradise!

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! The property is so private with you own private beach right out the back steps from the pool. The outdoor alfresco dining was perfect! Carlos the house manager was charming and super helpful. He provided Beach toys for our five year old grandson to play on the beach. Wonderful place!!

Spectacular Villa and Location

January 2023 Our family (6 adults and 4 children ages 1-11) vacation in Playa Grande at Villa Brisa del Mar was amazing! You have to experience this vacation home and setting to fully appreciate the comforts and the beauty of this spectacular villa. Each family had their own private suite with our oldest grandson having his own space to kick back and chill as a preteen. From the spacious outdoor living area and pool to the well stocked kitchen we just relaxed and enjoyed. The beach, Playa Ventanas, will take your breath away as you walk down the path from the arbored pool gate. The views on the beach, morning, noon and night were magical. You can walk/run, explore and swim on this beautiful beach. We went shelling, observed tiny sea creatures, saw turtle tracks, swam, boogie boarded and played in the sand. It never got old! Carlos, the caretaker of the property, was so kind and helped us in every way. He was so attentive to all the details of making our stay at Villa Brisa del Mar so enjoyable. One evening the entire family went down to the beach to watch the sunset and I stayed with the 4 year old by the pool. Carlos, walked out the gate and came back a few minutes later with pictures on his phone of the sunset for me to enjoy. I was so touched by his kindness. He is the best! Diego, our concierge, was so helpful at organizing all our excursions and transportation needs to and from the airport, renting 2 cars that were delivered to the villa, arranging our tours and suggesting fabulous restaurants to enjoy. We had food delivered to the villa, so we were stocked the first day. We had a carseat and booster seat delivered for use throughout the week. Diego facilitated it all. Our family experienced the beauty of Costa Rica for 9 days with an all day rainforest tour, a horseback riding excursion on a working hacienda, a catamaran sailing tour along the coast, an estuary boat tour in the Las Baulas Estuary, renting wave runners in Brasilito and having the freedom to explore the beaches and towns along the coast with our rental cars. Just to let you know how much we enjoyed are stay…2 days before leaving wanted to extend our stay an extra few days. I messaged Diego to ask him about our options. In less than 30 minutes everything was arranged to extend our stay! It was magical, we could have stayed even longer! Pura Vida.. it's a way fo life! We will be back!

Absolutely FABULOUS!

The property was to die for.... complete privacy picture perfect w our property team attentive and the nicest of people. Eddie our driver went above and beyond to cater to our high maintenance needs. Adriana and her staff cooked us Michelin star meals and so passionate w the beauty in every detail! Our property manager Carlos was one of the most helpful nicest human beings I have ever met! And Diego the concierge was prompt with any request we had! Loved every second of our epic vacation! Highly recommend this Villa!

PURA VIDA!!!

Our stay in Costa Rica was amazing. We came to celebrate my 30th birthday and we were not disappointed. Our concierge Diego was a great help he made it super easy to help me find excursions and set up transportation for us. The house was stunning, beautiful views of the ocean and your own private beach, our caretaker Carlos was there for everything we needed. The house was kept tidy by a friendly housekeeper and at night we had a security guard. Our shuttle bus drivers Alberto and Eddie were amazing they helped bring us around the town and seemed to know everything about their beautiful country. Would def recommend booking this property for all the amenities it has to offer. Villa Brisa and the staff with not disappoint!

Incredible Vacation Home

We stayed here with our 4 adult children and 2 of their spouses. Each of them had their own beautiful suite. Our Casita was amazing, with a bedroom and living room facing the beautiful ocean. The view is incredible! Most days we swam in the ocean, walked on the beach, or lounged by the pool. The outdoor space is incredible and we had family dinners at the huge outdoor dining table. There is plenty of outdoor furniture where we could sit and talk and listen to the ocean. At night we gathered in our living room and watched movies or played games. You can walk to Rip Jacks or Taco Star for lunch or dinner. We also rented a surfboard at Frijoles Locos and my son surfed at Playa Grande which is in walking distance. While in Costa Rica, there are a lot of activities to choose from but I would highly recommend the adventure hike to Leona Falls(2 hours a way). We had to swim through rivers, jump off a cliff and use ropes to pull ourselves through the water to find a hidden waterfall. It was only $30 a person and far exceeded our expectations. Carlos the caretaker was so helpful and kind. We borrowed items that we forgot at the grocery store, he helped my son when he got locked out of the house, and he opened the gates for us when we left and came back into the property. He even changed a tire for us! My whole family loved him.

Amazing House & Location

Not only was this house off the beaten path, it was beautiful and the beach was stunning. If you want to be away from all of the tourists, this is your place. We spent most of our time in the outdoor living and on the beach. Playa Carbon was also within walking distance and worth the visit. There are lots of great places to eat in the area, but the concierge is wonderful and will help you book a chef for the house, rental cars, excursions, etc. I would go back to Costa Rica in a heart beat and I would book this house over and over again!

Pura Vida Life!

This villa is beautiful and has plenty of space for a large group or family. The master suite is to die for! We enjoyed the peaceful outdoor living space and playing in the waves. (The local surf shop, Frijoles Locos, delivered surf and boogie boards.) One of the highlights of our stay was walking along the beach to the Ripjack Inn in Playa Grande for drinks and dinner! Both the concierge, Diego, and the caretaker, Carlos, were attentive to our needs and promptly addressed any issues. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation spot, with the ability to arrange activities/day trips if desired, this house is it!

Great place with a private beach

Diego and Carlos were wonderful. Both very helpful! Clean house and a great quiet location! Wished they had daily refresh cleaning but it worked out fine. Loved the beach access. Would for sure stay again.

This place is incredible! The house is so beautiful and just steps away from the beach! It was the perfect place for our family of 7 to stay. Diego was awesome! spectacular home with an “almost” private beach out the back door

This house is incredible!!!!! Far exceeded our expectations. Well appointed, clean, gorgeous views, and we had the entire beach to ourselves. So private and restful. Loved everything about this place and would definitely return!!! 5 + stars for sure! I have check-in 4 stars because the on-site house manager spoke only Spanish. My husband and I know some Spanish so it ended up being fine. But you might want to brush up on your Spanish before coming! The town of playa grande is tiny but wonderful! Delicious restaurants, a market, and very friendly people!!

My extended family had a wonderful vaca here. Unfortunately my immediate family contracted COVID one day prior to our departure and were not able to join. However, Cris, with concierge made the transition seamless. We heard that the house was perfect, the beach flawless and the pool a perfect place to cool off. We can’t wait to visit again! Pura Vida

A slice of Paradise

We had an amazing time at this property! The property is clean and kept immaculate. Carlos and Jorge who watch the property are just fabulous. Cristina and Adriana are also wonderful with helping us all get set up prior to visit as well as assisting us with booking a private chef and spa getaway. The outdoor seating is just perfect! The view from the master is spectacular. Love also how each room has a bathroom.
