Very Disappointing Stay – Major Cleanliness, Maintenance, and Safety IssuesUnfortunately, our stay at this property was extremely disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking here.The cleanliness was unacceptable. The first floor had ants everywhere, especially in the kitchen and living areas. Upstairs was even worse, we encountered large roaches in each room, which made it extremely uncomfortable to stay there. On top of that, the air vents have visible mold buildup.The kitchenware was not properly cleaned. Many plates and cups had crusted food still on them, so I had to take everything out and wash it myself before we could even use it.The thermostat is locked, so we couldn’t adjust the temperature. It was around 50F outside, and the house was freezing cold the entire time. We had no way to warm the place up, and there were no extra blankets provided to help make the situation more comfortable. There was no soap in the bathrooms.Communication with the host was extremely poor. Messages often went unanswered for long periods of time. The worst situation happened when the keypad batteries died and we were locked out of the house with our dog. We tried repeatedly to reach the host but couldn’t get a timely response, which left us stuck outside.The property itself also has clear maintenance problems. The balcony has visible structural damage, so it felt unsafe and unusable. The back fences are broken also.
