“Great location right in the centre of Stellenbosch with free parking and a great breakfast. Staff were super helpful and really pleasant. The property itself is showing some signs of wear & tear and probably needs a bit of money spending on it to ensure it doesn’t slip down the list!”

“While the place is handsome and well kept, there are serious issues that I encountered that were reported here by others. The two most prominent were that the choice of rooms I was given was either a room with a door that opens strainght into the dining room, or a room with a bath ONLY (= no showerhead... in 2020...). My complaint resulted in the owner explaining to me this the room EXPEDIA assigned to me.... on my second night I moved to a room which was separate from its bathroom, not a great...

“I can't say enough good things about our stay. The staff was phenomenal. So very welcoming and helpful with ideas for spending our time in Franschhoek. Our room was beautiful, large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. The location is in town within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the wine tram. Highly recommend Avondrood Guest House.”

“The hotel is beautiful and the farm was gorgeous to walk/cycle around. Breakfast service to get a cup of tea was a little slow occasionally, one day waited 30 mins before we got the tea, then milk and then sugar. The food was all beautifully presented. We really enjoyed our stay but did not think it was good vfm. ”

Extraordinaria experiencia un lugar excepcional

"Es un lugar mágico. 62.000 hectáreas de tierras salvajes pero perfectamente cuidadas por un equipo de 180 profesionales desde guardas, seguridad, veterinarios, gerencia, camareros, chefs, servicio de limpieza que son realmente adorables en todo la amplitud del término, además de excepcionales profesionales. Las instalaciones son impecables teniendo en cuenta que están en medio de la naturaleza pero a tiro de piedra de Cape Town (2 horas y media de viaje en coche). Los guías son unos apasionados de la naturaleza fauna y flora y se lo saben todo. Hay lugares más salvajes quizás más lujosos pero no tan cerca de una gran ciudad y desde luego con un equipo tan extraordinario como el de Sambona. "
