Absolutely loved this property. Location was perfect for access to beach and the shops/restaurants of Carlsbad. Property management team was extremely responsive and wanted to help make our trip awesome. I 100% recommend this home!

Weekend in Carlsbad

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Property is well stocked and maintained. Location is awesome. The deck with grill and fireplace is a really nice feature. Owners are very accessible.

The property is clean and in a great location. Great views of the sunset on a clear day from the living room and rooftop deck. Dont love the late checkout policy ($) particularly when there is not someone coming in the same day, but overall a very great place!

Amazing rental

The property was more beautiful in person than online. Everything from the beds to the decor was top notch. The check in and check out process was incredibly simple and the owners were amazingly responsive. We could not have been more happy with the property.

Amazing place the views were spectacular bedrooms were spacious kitchen awesome deck incredible if there is one negative you have to realize you’re a long Pacific Coast Highway so you will hear noise of cars BUT the beach is just across the street. All in all worth every penny

Great house/location. Property was clean and communication with host easy/painless. Overall great rental. Construction noise next door is present, but will only bother you if you are a late sleeper. Driveway to parking in rear can be a little challenging if you have a big vehicle/truck.

Spring Break Win!

We truly enjoyed Carlsbad! The home was perfect for our family. The full size soaps in all the bathrooms, dish soap, laundry pods, Diana washer soap, extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towel where an A+ addition. Home was pretty clean, baseboards and corners could use some extra attention but high touch areas were clean. Plenty of towels and trash bags for the entire week. Communication and check in/out was a breeze. Would stay here again if our travels bring us back.

The View is Outstanding

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this location. It was our first time in Carlsbad and we will return. The unit was everything and more than pictured on line. The thought that went into creating this luxury retreat was amazing. The views from the deck and the rooftop kept us there each night for the sunset which never disappointed. The bonus is that, not only is it directly across from the beach walk and access, it is a very short walk in Carlsbad Village and all that has to offer. You would be hard pressed to find a better accommodations in the area. LOVED IT!!!

Simply the Best!

If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Carlsbad, look no further. This home is the best! Best location. Best view. Best when it comes to cleanliness. Best when it comes to bedding and towels. You’ll find only the best quality linens here. Our family, ranging in age from 16 months to 72 years old, enjoyed everything about this rental. The kitchen is gorgeous and has everything you need. Just add your groceries and you’re good to go. The kids loved the upper deck and making s’mores every night. Access to the beach is easy-pesey. I simply cannot say enough good things about this home. We’ve been renting through VRBO for over 10 years and this has become our favorite! Thank you Nick for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great property - construction next door was very noisy

We stay in Carlsbad every year and usually use Vrbo. The property manager informed us a week before our stay that there’s construction next door. No time to change my trip or get a refund. Mon-Fri at 7 am sharp it was super loud up until 4. We would have not booked this property if this was disclosed to us. Mornings were just awful in this place. We love the town and location but not the early wake up. Morning coffee on the balcony was also a no go. We expect better from VRBO and we expect some form of refund or credit toward our next stay. We paid ~$10k for the week and didn’t have an experience consistent with what we paid.

Nightmare Stay in “Luxury” Rental

Our dismay with this unit started the minute we opened the “Upper Unit” door. The sectional was filthy, the barstools were ripping apart, the stools on the main floor deck were broken and had pieces hanging off. The main AC vent was rusted and corroding, the filth in the Master was unbelievable. We had to clean the ceiling fan before we could turn it on. The window in the second bathroom was broken and stuck open. This made the noise from construction next door impossible to escape. There was a shared door, with another room upstairs (that we were never told about) that we could NOT LOCK OURSELVES. This place is as NOT as advertised, and definitely not a luxury unit. Haystay Vacation Rentals did nothing but offer a superficial cleaning. They never came to repair the window (after admitting via text they knew it was broken). They also never came to fix the outdoor furniture that was unusable.We bought sheets to cover the sectional. We’ve been vacationing in Carlsbad for 25 years. This was, by FAR, our worst experience. Haustay Vacation Rentals is now ghosting us. They ruined a very important vacation,that our grown kids traveled thousands of miles to get to, to help us celebrate a big anniversary and birthday. Our only time together as a family for the year, was ruined. Renter BEWARE.
