The property itself is very uniquely decorated and had so much character and charm. The staff accommodated our every need and our room (we booked a junior master) was spacious, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! “The hotel is beautiful and in a great location with a lot of shops and restaurants close by. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We stayed in a room on the top floor of the mill, it was a picturesque room, it was a bit hot at night but they had a ventilator to cool it down. The food at the restaurant was amazing! Great chef, delicious breakfast and dinners. ”

“We were given a handi cap room which was not the best as everything was low sink, bed ect. We were not informed prior to our stay I would have booked elsewhere. To find our room was like a rabbit warren if a disabled person had to walk to the end of long and narrow corridors it would terrible. Not impressed at all”

“A lovely cottage with history and character. As mentioned in the listings it would not be suitable for someone very tall or with difficulties. Facilities are excellent everything you need supplied. Parking is free but beware spaces can be all taken - it states 23 hours stay - no return for an hour, so be aware there is a car park attendant around! Cottage is within easy reach of the town and Abbey. A lovely stay”

A special mention to Evie, who was an absolute delight. Our room was clean and beautifully presented — a testament to excellent housekeeping.”
