“Stayed at the Comfort Inn Peterborough and had a pleasant experience overall. The rooms were clean, the hotel was quiet, and it made for a comfortable stay. Breakfast offered a good assortment of options including muffins, cereal, eggs, and sausage on the hot plate, which was appreciated. The only downside was that there were no almond milk or lactose-free milk options available, which would have been nice for guests with dietary restrictions. “I called the night before to be assured that i could check in late as I would be traveling from out of the country and was told it would not be a problem. Upon arrival, there was a sign that said staff would not be there after 11pm with a number to call. I called the number about 10 times and no one picked up. I could see my room key sitting on the desk so i grabbed it at which point someone came out to greet me, the maintenance man. There was a slight language barrier which i don't fault him...

Fairmont Royal York

"We’ve stayed at many Fairmont Hotels & Resorts properties across Canada, and overall our stay here was very pleasant. The staff throughout the hotel was truly amazing — very attentive, professional, and always willing to help. The bellmen team especially stood out for their kindness and excellent service. Our room had an incredible view, and the floor/location we were assigned made the experience even more enjoyable. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. As a positive suggestion for improvement, we felt the breakfast selection at the Fairmont Gold lounge could offer a bit more variety. The desserts were good overall — around a 7/10 in our opinion — and the snack hour was decent as well, not extraordinary, but still enjoyable. This has not been our favorite Fairmont property so far, but we still had a very good experience and truly appreciated the hospitality and service from the entire team."
