  • Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath on Shem creek. Updated bathrooms, kitchen, floors, furniture. This home is set up for family vacations with a slant toward outdoors activity. Use the dock with floater to fish, kayak, canoe, paddle board, watch sunsets or hang out in the rear yard to bbq and relax on Adirondack chairs in front of the reclaimed brick fireplace. Tidal creek, so 2ft at low tide and 8ft at high tide. Den, kitchen, dining room, and screened in porch all have views of the marsh, dock and creek. 8.5 foot custom pool table in the loft overlooking the den and kitchen area. Great open floor plan for entertaining with family and friends. Mount Pleasant license, str # 20133443

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time staying at this Vrbo. Plenty of activities on the property to keep everyone occupied. I especially enjoyed doing yoga down by the dock every morning so peaceful.

Amazing views of the Marsh

We had a great week at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the time on the dock overlooking the marsh. We rented paddle boards and kayaks from Half Moon Outfitters and they delivered and picked them up from the house. Overall, a nice place to stay near Charleston.

Excellent location!

This was perfect location for visiting Charleston area with our family. Short drive to restaurants, downtown Charleston, and many other tourist attractions. We enjoyed relaxing on dock after sightseeing all day. House was great! Thanks for everything!

Perfect retreat!!

My now husband and I stayed here for the week of our wedding and it was absolutely perfect for us! The ample space both inside and out was great! The upgraded open kitchen and screened in porch with beautiful views of the water was the perfect retreat!It was just like the pictures and description. Location couldn’t have been better- close to everything we needed. The best part was the owner was super helpful and flexible with us. We are already looking at going back!

Perfect getaway

We had such a great time! Came down for a baseball tournament at Shipyard and stayed here for a week. Perfect location! Fishing on the dock at night was such a fun experience. So relaxing!

Great location with dock on Shem Creek. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, with nice kitchen and big screened-in porch. Very close to multiple waterfront restaurants and activities. Short drive to the beach at Sullivan's Island

Great Thanksgiving stay

Spacious and clean house. Excellent location-20 min to most downtown tourist destinations. Property on water allowed for beautiful sunsets and fishing. Host very responsive to communications.

Fabulous!

Our family stayed in this home. We picked this location because it was close to Charleston and to the beach. It was fantastic. Such a relaxing and beautiful place to be on the waterway. The outside enclosed deck, the grilling area, the fishing dock…all lovely. It is spacious, clean and very well appointed.

Family Vaca!

We had a ball at Shem Creek! The dock is a true gem! My husband, 3 adult children and myself all agreed we wished we could have stayed longer! Lots of great food options and conveniences in the area. We would totally go back!

Great stay overall!

We booked for a small couples trip and couldn’t have been happier with the house. The area was fantastic with easy access to downtown Charleston (15 minute drive) and the surrounding Mt. Pleasant area was great as well. Joe was a great host, and allowed us to check in well ahead of the schedule. We can’t recommend this stay enough.

Great stay

The house was clean and well maintained. It was super comfortable for five adults. We spent every morning on the dock: drinking coffee and watching the wildlife. I actually don’t have anything negative to say about our stay.

Perfect 2 weeks on Shem Creek in a wonderful creekside home. Tempted to write a scathing review only because we don’t want this place to be too popular. Already planning our return.

The house was exactly as described. It was even roomier than we thought it would be. It was well equipped and everything was in working order. The view of Shem creek never got old. We really enjoyed the house and will be back.

Great Stay!

The house was very clean and accurately described. Its location was great, in a great neighborhood, and close to many attractions. The only thing I wish it had was portable outdoor furniture so we could move it around to different locations of the yard. We purchased some cheap bag chairs and left them in the garage for future guest use. The owner was very kind and answered all the questions we had very promptly. We would definitely stay again

Shem Creek Christmas

Our stay in Mount Pleasant on Shem Creek with our family for Christmas was amazing. We couldn’t of asked for a better home and surroundings to have rented. Joe was very accommodating and helpful to our questions and his home was beautiful as well as the view from his dock on the creek. Thank you for a great experience.

Peaceful retreat

This is a very nice property and a great place to relax. Close enough to everything and still quiet area. For the most part, it lived up to our expectations. The water level depends on the tide. When the tide is out, not much water is at the dock. There is not an area at the dock to swim. Adding a TV to the other 2 bedrooms would be nice. AC seemed to struggle during the hottest parts of the day. Overall this is a great rental and we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and nice home! Perfect for us.

We meet up with my kids who both live in SC, one was on break and this house was perfect for us. Close to everything (dining, grocery stores, etc..) in MP and an easy ride into Charleston or IOP. Pretty much everything you need for either going out or for staying in and cooking. Smooth and easy check-in and great communication with the owner. We are in the Charleston area 4+ times per year and this place is a great mix of convenience, value and simplicity.
