We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy carriage house. The location in heart of the French Quarter is exactly where you want to be. We didn’t require our car the entire time. The interior of the home is a tasteful mixture of old and new. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom are newly renovated. The older-vintage upstairs bathroom is functional and clean and immediately adjacent to one bedroom at the end of the hall. Every room is decorated with a mixture of artwork, colorful wool rugs, beautiful lamps, pillows, throw blankets, and pottery. The kitchen includes new appliances, a Keurig coffee maker (and pods) along with a complete array of cookware, dishes, and silverware. The cozy living room can easily seat 6 and includes a comfortable sofa and several comfy fabric arm chairs. The living room center piece is the old brick fireplace (non-working) decorated with an interesting iron piece and candle. The home has windows on both sizes which bring in lots of natural light. Just outside the front door is a magical brick courtyard area with tables/chairs, a little fountain, solar lanterns and beautiful landscaping. The bedrooms (which are both upstairs) overlook the lovely Washington Square green space. Both bedrooms include nice furniture, beautiful lamps and warm touches. Both have queen size beds which were pretty comfortable (but, not great). Overall, we highly recommend this lovely home on your next visit to Charleston.
