“The house is as stylish and capacious as the booking information suggests! We made full use of the cool indoor spaces and the pool during our stay at the height of a heatwave. Macqueville and the nearby villages are very quiet and we experienced the slightly unreliable hours of the village shop and restaurant. Booking there is essential. Also a special mention for Dave who was very helpful. ”

“Petite maison au calme, très confortable et d’une extrême propreté. Le jardin est charmant. Très jolie région, côté mer et côté terre. L’accueil de Brigitte et Jean-Luc est vraiment à souligner, ils sont extrêmement sympathiques tout en restant discrets. Séjour vraiment très agréable. Je reviendrai explorer ce qui ne l’a pas été pour cause de grasses matinées! Patricia ”

“Nous avons passé deux belles semaines au milieu des vignes dans lesquelles nous avons pu nous balader. L endroit est tres calme, ideal pour le repos. La piscine est grande et il y a également d autres équipements dans le grand jardin, comme un filet de badmington, une table de ping pong... Catherine et son epoux sont à l ecoute et tres discret. L'hebergement est simple avec les equipements suffisants. Nous le recommandons :)”

“Family friendly gite, great as a bolt hole. Fun added extras inside for the kids. Outside area is great, pool area wonderful. Upstairs bathroom and some utensils may need updating at some point but overall all was good and we had everything we needed. Be aware the third bedroom is accessed by a steep ladder and not suitable for younger children, fine for my 10&12 year old with the help of a stair gate guard we attached.Friendly and helpful hosts. Only 10 mins from a variety of places to visit...

“Wonderful away from it all house with fantastic hosts. Great chill out location but only 15 k from the wonderful beaches around Royan. ”

“Le gîte est au calme et proche de tous les sites a visiter (environ 30 min). Nous avons été très bien accueilli. L été vous pourrez profiter de la piscine.”

“Des hôtes vraiment formidable Barbara et Kevin sont très sympathique et très accueillant. La location est vraiment très propre et décoré avec goût. La literie est incroyable (très important je trouve ) Et le petit déjeuné amène tout les matins…. Que dire de plus… Je recommande à 1000% Merci encore ”

“We stayed at Maison Tranquille this August with our family and some friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed bbqs together in the evenings, the kids had a fantastic time in the pool and with all the games provided and we had everything we needed to relax and unwind.
