We enjoyed our Girls Week at Cedar Cove in Chincoteague. The mattresses could use replacing, and being the end of the season, it’s ready for its seasonal deep clean. But the kitchen was VERY well stocked with everything you need. We had plenty of room and very comfortably enjoyed all spaces of the house.

Chincoteague Island stay

Very happy with our stay ! Size of house was perfect! The kitchen was the most equipped and and stocked kitchen we have had , loved the pots for crabbing ! The inlet out back was chocked full of crabs 🦀, and we enjoyed the owners letting us use the crab cages ! We were able to first right off the back dock , we had a wonderful vacation , the only thing Chincoteague has mosquitos so bring the bug spray ! We went for the pony swim week , and we would definitely stay again ! Thanks coastal vacation rentals for a great stay !

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the house. its cozy and comfortable. I do not think it sleeps 12 as stated. There were 8 of us and one person ended up sleeping on an air mattress that we brought. I suppose if everyone shared a bed and took all the couches you could squeeze 12 people in. but there are only 2 bathrooms.. It was not stocked with the essentials like trash bags and propane for the grill - which was disappointing. But, it was stocked with games and TV's. Was a nice stay for the 3 nights we were there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time here. We were a little late in the season for crabbing of the dock, but honestly, we had our best together time sitting around the table playing games. We enjoyed every area in the house during our stay. The beds could use fresh mattresses and it’s time for the end-of-season deep clean, but we would definitely stay here again if we came back to the island.

Short weekend getaway

Went with husband and friends for the weekend. House was pretty decent. Kitchen was well stocked. Location was nice. Biggest issue was the mattresses. First floor queen was not bad. However, upstairs mattresses really need replaced. Friends stayed upstairs in queen. Mattress was so uncomfortable they switched rooms in the middle of the night. They made us lay on the upstairs queen and it was really uncomfortable and could feel the springs. The 2 doubles were slightly better. Other than mattresses house was nice for a little getaway.

We stayed for a week in July. We loved how much space the house had, the outside shower, the water out back, and the neighborhood. If you plan on doing laundry during your stay, they only offer an apartment size washer/dryer. Unfortunately for us the dryer vent was broken for the entire stay. We let the company know and they ordered the new part. They said not to use the dryer until it was replaced. We pack with the intention of washing our laundry. This did put a damper on our trip. Hopefully the issue has been resolved for future guests. We also had issues with half the burners on the stove working and the grill had issues lighting right away. The house was for the most part clean. We did see dust and dirt on vents and lighting. The fridge was a little dirty too. The deck was nice to sit on in the evenings. Over all we had a nice stay.

April Break

The house is in a nice location on a canal but not everything in the home was in working order. The dryer didn't work, the keruig coffee maker didn't work, the fireplace didn't work, one of the burners on the stove didn't work and the house had ants.

We loved our stay at Cedar Cove. The house was spacious and very well equipped. It was clean and nicely decorated with an island theme. We appreciated the big comfortable couches and seating. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, including a Keurig, electric tea kettle, drip coffee maker, toaster, and toaster oven, just to name a few of the small appliances. We caught crabs and cooked them one night and loved that. The abundance of games and books was a nice touch for our family. One thing that was different for us was having to provide our own linens. We opted for the rental linen service. If you are sensitive to sheets texture you might want to bring your own. The rental sheets are not "hotel quality" but did the job. There is a firm queen bed upstairs, the downstairs queen was more in the medium firmness range. Both have plastic protectors on them, so be aware if there are any latex allergies. The neighborhood was wonderful for riding bikes and walking. We would love to stay here again!

Location is awesome - the kids loved fishing off the dock! The appliances in this rental leave a lot to be desired. Stove burners did not function properly and the dryer took 3 cycles to dry 2 towels. A stackable mini washer and dryer made laundry impossible for 10 people.

The private community in Oyster Bay was beautiful! Cedar Cove house was clean and had a cool beach vibe decor. It was spacious enough for two families. And we loved the extra couch space with tall vaulted ceiling. We enjoyed using the crab pots at the dock as well as launching our kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of cooking and baking pans. The game room in the loft was super fun for our college aged kids Chincoteague Resort Vacations did not disappoint! I highly recommend for a return vacation and making many more memories with family and friends

Nice place for a family getaway. Loved the layout of the property.

My family and I loved the layout of the property. It had ample space for us. We enjoyed all the board games and the loft area for the kids to play. A few things that would of made our stay better is changing the older appliances, especially the refrigerator. The fridge and freezer doors are coming apart and you have to make sure they're closed. I also didn't like having to bring linen or pay for it. I've never had to do that before. Other than that, I love the property and our stay. I would stay here again.

Great location and outdoor space - but noise from construction

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the stay was fine. Loved the spacious outdoor deck and watching families of geese wander by. Property was decently maintained but needs a little extra TLC (e.g., the kitchen sink faucet wasn't properly attached; the downstairs bathroom sink clogged regularly; the grills could use a good cleaning). The first weekend was lovely, waking up to a chorus of birds, but the peace was soon interrupted by weekday construction of a house nearby (circular saws, hammering/pounding, etc., machinery, etc.), including a rude wake-up call at 6:45 a.m. the next Saturday from a cement smoother machine at the site. Wish we had been informed of the construction in advance, as we would likely have chosen a different property.
