“Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.”

“The attention to detail is so lovely. Everyone was really helpful and we enjoyed the food, the surroundings and the spa. A really beautiful getaway. The female members of staff had to put up with a pretty misogynistic guest while we were there (which we witnessed at breakfast) and they kept their cool and handled his rudeness with grace and patience. A lot of friendly professionals work here and you can see they put love into their work! ”

“From checking in the staff are friendly, parking onsite, Breakfast was amazing, hot and everything you need. The only thing for me was the bathroom wasn't in the room, when I booked it did say private bathroom so presumed it was in the room. Would definitely stay again.”

“Another excellent stay at the Hobbit host is very friendly and nothing too much trouble if you have any questions. Rooms are spotlessly clean and lovely decor. Car park right outside the door with ample parking. This time we had a ground floor room but still a lovely view of the valley. The porridge pots and croissants are a lovely touch. Also we were celebrating our anniversary and was given early check in and late check-out which was a great gesture. Will definitely be back”

“We stayed at the white bull for 2 nights while attending a wedding locally. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We had room 6 which was large with a king size bed, very comfortable, the room was largewith a large bathroom. Complementary tea, coffee nespresso machine , hot chocolate, biscuits and still and sparkling water were available in the room. Plenty of storage drawers and wardrobe. Also 2 chairs. The windows were a little tired looking but all furnishings were obviously fairly new...
