This house was perfect for our short stay; we came to visit our soldier for family day and graduation. Fort Jackson is only 9 minutes away, which was extremely convenient. We felt safe at the home and walking around on the property. It is a nice lot. We had a few minor issues with the cleanliness of the house and a non-functioning ice maker, but our host, Wendy, was extremely prompt and helpful in her replies. The only issue I came across with the listing is that one of the full bathrooms included in this home is located out in the pool house, so unless someone wants to travel outside whenever they want to use this restroom, it doesn’t really serve a purpose. I did ask Wendy about this prior to renting the house (because I read about it in another review) and she was upfront and honest about the bathroom’s location. All in all, I would rent this home again if I needed to return to the area, and this is largely due to the attentiveness of the host.

Host was available and responsive when needed. No extra paper towels. No extra trash bags. Microwave was filthy. Home needs TLC:- walkways front and back have loose pavers that present tripping hazard. - area around pool house looked like a disaster; discard pool toys everywhere. - no window blinds in front bedroom; only shear curtains offering a nighttime view from the road. - window blinds in Master Bath are too small, therefore like privacy. - small bed upstairs squeaked so loudly it disturbed those sleeping in the other bed.

Nice amount of space but property needs some work

Nice sized house in great location very close to Trenholm Plaza. Beautiful private pool! Nice appliances. Pre-rental questions and check in process were very easy. House needs some work - our baby crawled around on the floor and his legs and clothes are dirty. The furniture needs to be replaced and the house needs more seating to accommodate 5 rooms worth of guests. With these improvements, would definitely stay here again with a large group.

Great Property for Family

We rented this property so that we could as a family celebrate our son’s graduation from Army Basic training at Ft. Jackson. The location to the fort was excellent and gave us a great place to start our days and wind down at night. we had eight people staying at the property and we all more than enough room. It was an amazing house very well laid out and very open. We all truly enjoyed our time at the house and can not recommend this property enough to any one with a large group.

Good location, great privacy, plenty room. No hot water in master tub and ice maker didn't work. Only 2 people wanted to take a bath in the big tub and ice came from Publix

Great space no supplies and bathroom disappointment

Space was great. We had ten people youngest was 16 and oldest 77. There wasn’t mixing bowls or enough kitchen dishes and glasses. Matching sets and less plastic cups would be appreciated. Could use a complete update of supplying kitchen. More supplies like extra paper towels as well. Update the Jack and Jill bathroom and list it as a shared bath along with half bath. We were expecting 5 bathrooms as stated in the front page of VRBO then when checking in the description says 4. When a bathroom is listed I expected shower. The place actually has three bathrooms and 1 half bath. That was a big issue but we made it work. Couldn’t get the tv on the back patio to work.

Perfect for a Football Getaway

The home is absolutely beautiful! The remodel that has been done is very nice w/ large kitchen area & living room (additional seating is needed though to make it even more comfortable). The primary bedroom & bathroom is amazing. The property description says 5 bathrooms but it’s really 4.5 full bathrooms, with one of them located outside in the pool house. This was ok but wished we’d have known this as one our couples had to go out to the pool house to shower. Again, the house was perfect!

Amazing Family Vacation

My family stayed here for celebrate my nephew’s graduation. The Master bedroom was so comfortable for my 82 year old parents. In fact the whole house was easy for them to navigate. There was plenty of room for us to get together and celebrate but yet have our privacy. We had some initial problems with the pool but Wendy answered us immediately and made sure we were taken care of! The back yard was amazing and thankfully we had great weather to sit outside and enjoy! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Military graduation trip

This house was perfect for our collection of family to gather before and after our daughter’s graduation from basic training at Ft Jackson. It’s an easy 10 minute or less drive to base. Restaurants, grocery stores etc. are also close.

Home not finished and not ready for rentals

This home is partially finished. From the second you walk up to the porch you can see the home has been only partially cared for. Once getting in not properly cleaned (250 cleaning fee) beer caps were around the home and even two left over cigars. Part of the home is amazing which is what the pictures show. The living room is in need of updating including the furniture. The pet hair and dandruff has use sneezing and itchy eyes. The other side of the home has peeling paint in bedrooms and the shared bath between the two rooms has larger areas of paint peeling off and a rusty sink. My two college age daughters found it so disgusting that the could not use it and they live in dorms with community bathrooms and showers! I also advised them to not us it as the home is older and the paint peeling was so bad that I was nervous they may be exposed to lead . Not being able to use this bath had us now with 3 teenager daughters and my wife and I sharing 1 bath as my in laws were using the other full bath. The outdoor furniture was unusable as the lounge chairs all had large wholes and you would fall through. I communicated with the property manager Wendy who was available and responsive but seemed to have her hands tied by the larger management company. I asked for a partial refund as the home was dirty, pool area was unusable for lounging, a full bath was unusable and the pool house slider framing fell of and cut wife’s hand. 146.19 refund. Should have been 250 cleaning and 1 night fee

Outstanding

Wendy, our host, was the best. Our family(11)was there to attend our grandson’s graduation and family day at Fort Jackson. We highly recommend this home for large families. It was so clean and easy access to post and grocery stores. Great location too!!
