The house is 5 mins from base so very convenient, we got there and thought wow this is cute. The house was accommodating for what we needed. We got up in middle of night to find 2 roaches. The one was by the bathroom and the other was running across the counter top. It crawled in the cabinet before my husnand could kill it. Contacted owner and they sent maintenance to spray and told me there is roach spray under cabinet. The next evening was sitting in living room after not seeing any allllllll day one comes from under the couch across living room floor. Instantly killed it with my shoe again sent pic to owner. Left it on the counter on a paper towel as the maintenance guy tried to tell my sister it wasnt roaches. This house would be perfect if the roaches werent included!!

Extremely disappointed

Our intended purpose of travel to the area was for our son’s graduation from basic training. It is near Fort Jackson & the host was quick to respond to messages. Those are the kindest things I can say from this experience. It was a dark neighborhood with minimal street lighting & no property lighting. Prior to our arrival, we had informed the host we would be checking in during the middle of the night due to flight issues. The host did not leave any indoor or outdoor lighting on for us. It was both unwelcoming & unsafe. Once we opened the door, the smell was horrendous. Then, foolishly, we turned on the lights. At that time, numerous different types of insects and bugs greeted us & were scurrying everywhere. They were on the floors, walls, mirrors, & ceilings in several different rooms. There was a splatter on the bathroom wall; the host later explained it was from a remodel. I've never seen remodel material that looks like human excretions. Our stay in the house was less than 10 minutes. We left to find a hotel to nap in prior to reporting to base. We were not going to let this ruin the focus of our trip, so we refrained from contacting the host immediately after departing the house. Because we did not contact her at 3 AM to tell her that her house is unfit for a rental property, we were refunded 1 night & the cleaning fee from our 4-night reservation. Read all the details on the Boarding Pass link; It mentioned bug issues, not a bug infestation.

Partridge House Needs TLC

The rental was clean but had a moldy smell. The pull out couch may be missing the mattress because the cushions sunk when we sat on it. The outside brought the rating down. The outside back deck is unsafe, the furniture is unsafe, one of the outdoor chairs fell back when my son sat in it, we just put it on the table and hoped no one else uses it. Nails on railing were visible and weak spots throughout deck floor. The grilling area and the stone walkway are uneven making it unsafe. Gutters had not been cleaned out, the house has green algae on it. There is a rusty metal building out back with the door opened. The fence has missing boards and loose boards with nails visible. The house next door is overgrown with poison oak between the two houses. These are the reasons we requested another house and were willing to pay more for the transfer. Staff was great helping us out with the move and they let us stay in Partridge until the new rental was available. Recommend addressing all the issues listed above. The interior is super cute and the property has lots of potential.

The outside needs a lot of care. Needs better lighting in the front yard. Back porch needs cleaning. Roof full of debris. Sky lights in kitchen area needs to be washed. Inside the house very well kept.

Close to Ft Jackson

Perfect place to stay if you have a soldier graduating from Ft Jackson. You can hear the horns playing every morning from the back deck and at the end of the day, thats how close it is to Ft Jackson !! Rent this place, you won't be disappointed!! EASY access for graduation.

Lovely Little Cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to spend time with our niece during her Basic Training Graduation at FT. Jackson, while enjoying the cabin during our days off. She was able to come to the cabin and take a well-deserved nap while we all gathered at the kitchen telling stories and enjoying dinner. Wendy was super attentive and helped us fix a “out-of-no-where” issue we encountered before we started our trip from Florida to SC. She literally was a life saver. We will definitely stay in this little cabin again if we have to come back to SC since is super close to the base and near lot of shops, restaurants, and grocery store. Thank You Wendy for your amazing customer service and for everything you guys did for our family. We really appreciated it.

Thanksgiving with our son in the army

The property was clean and ready for us. The pix showed an adorable home with enough room for our family of 6, and that is what we found when we arrived. It is conveniently located near Ft Jackson and we all had a great time!

Quaint cozy home

We loved our stay at this quaint, cozy home. Newly renovated and decorated very well. Bedding was superb! Inside the home has everything you need! Only complaint would be no lighting on back deck but we turned on all interior lights to help illuminate back deck. Great communication with host. Lovely home…we will definitely be back!
