Relaxing and CLEAN

It was great! Beds clean and comfortable, up to date furnishings and decor. Ice maker working and washer dryer were great additions. All appliances were stocked and good quality. Pool was clean and quiet, but small if you have larger family during the busy days. One note… make sure to bring any spices, coffee filters, air fresheners. Not a bad thing, but often places have some stashed in a cabinet. ** Previous review mentioned ants and a cockroach. I have lived on the coast for over 20 years (good luck getting completely rid of all of them). Only saw crazy ants, and only outside. Loved being able to let dog out without walking on 100 degree pavement, nice patio area!

Bugs in property and pool experience

The property and location is good. We did have a few roaches and water bugs which were not good. The pool was dominated by several families that said they owned a home down the street. They severely limited our use of the pool all three evenings we tried to swim.

Great stay but floors weren’t clean

We had a great time. However, upon arrival we didn’t feel the floor was very clean and there was a number 2 from a pet in the backyard. It had been there for a while. We did mop the floor ourselves the first day. Other than that we did enjoy the stay and we did like the place. I just don’t think the property manager was looking after this place very closely.

One shortcoming

The furnishings were not ideal for shorter people. The sofas were very deep and soft. The beds were high and soft. While this was a personal issue due to stature and age, it might be something to consider if you are elderly and short. On the positive side was just above everything else. The kitchen has almost every conceivable pot snd pan and utensil. The covered patio was great for enjoying the outside in the shade. The small pool was wonderful and not heavily utilized. With only 10 units in the complex we often had the pool to ourselves. If you are looking for quiet peace, this place is perfect. It’s also convenient to restaurants snd shopping. The cleaning crew missed a couple of things, but the property manager quickly responded.

Mixed Feelings

First, booking was so easy and efficient. We drove up to a really cute cottage surrounded by other cuties! We walked in and oohhed and ahhhed as we looked around. But that evening when we came back in my son was laying on the cushion of the kitchen booth and pointed out ants. Then all of sudden ants were everywhere and crawling up the walls and by the front door and in the room my daugter was going to sleep in as well. The after hour people were great because they answered right away and were very polite. They called back and said an exterminator would be out in the morning. Looking back I wish they had offered us a hotel room or at least that night's refund. I think that would have shown outstanding customer service. They did spray the next day but an even higher up exterminator had to come out. The sleeper sofa bed was hard to pull out and the metal was bent on the left side so the handyman also worked on that when they initially sprayed for ants. The Fire alarm chirped early one morning but thankfully there was no fire or smoke. The handyman worked on that and just cleaned it with air compressor and that worked. We did like him, very sweet. The other thing I would add is details like the shower curtain bar was rusted over in places. In summary, everyone is super nice and they helped us. I just think going above and beyond with customeres goes a long way. Again, an offer of a hotel room or at least take off a night's stay. So this is why it's titled "Mixed Feelings".

Loved it!

This was our first vacation in 2 years and we all had an absolute blast! This house was perfect for us and it was very clean and well kept. We loved the pool the outdoor shower and the privacy. 10/10 recommend.

Probably Should Keep This Find a Secret

Very professional and efficient management. Booking and check in were a breeze. Communication was perfect from start to finish. Found all the information we needed in the downloadable app and again provided in print when we arrived. We did call with one question regarding guest parking - (the parking signs at this property are a little confusing). The call was answered on the first ring and the advice was friendly and helpful. The parking was in fact great - two spaces steps from the door and plenty of guest parking. The location is A+++ - right in the center of everything - minutes from Mustang Island State Park, Padre National Sea Shore and multiple other beach access points. A few minutes the other way over the causeway and you’re in Corpus Christi - HEB plus , restaurants, the University, downtown Corpus and Ocean Drive. Port Aransas is only twenty minutes away. There’s a Circle K, Starbucks and a Whataburger within walking distance. What else could you need? Rental was very clean and looks almost brand new. Beds and furniture were comfortable… not the cardboard Wayfair stuff you often find. Outdoor shower and hose is super helpful. Pool is tiny but well kept. Fenced in breeze way gave the dog a place to stretch his legs. Overall a great rental experience. While the unit was pretty well equipped - the consumables were lacking. No dish soap or hand soap, no shampoos - no snacks😕. Those are nice to find.
