We traveled here (family of 4) to celebrate our son’s college graduation! We selected the property based on the relaxing, resort-style backyard & proximity to AMI. The house is tucked away in a working class fishing village. The home was clean. The highlight was the backyard! The pool, waterfall, jacuzzi, waterfront & landscape set the stage for a peaceful retreat. This is our second visit to the area & would rent this property again in the future. A little hidden gem!

Pleasantly surprised awesome location if you have a boat!

This property was clean and had more amenities than I was expecting. I really felt like the owners thought of everything to make your stay delightful.Plus, it was very clean and the backyard is gorgeous.

Amazing house

Best outdoor space we've ever stayed at!! Was hesitant at first about staying off the island but SO worth it! We walked across the bridge to get to the island daily and just loved the stay. Close to several great restaurants that we hadn't tried before. Would definitely recommend this house and we will stay here again

Perfect getaway!

The cottage is darling and the back yard and pool is absolutely incredible. We loved being able to walk to Starfish Co. and Tide Tables for meals. Best restaurants around. While the property isn’t on AMI, it is just a few hundred yards away. We’d love to visit this property again.

Fantastic house & location

Great communication with property management company. The house was exactly as pictured. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing. We used our paddleboard off the dock. Very close to good restaurants.

The pool at this house is amazing. The air conditioning in the house is almost non existent.We had to go buy two fans to survive for the week. For the price, the house is a great deal.

Amazing

What a great spot and will most definitely return. The pool is an oasis and great way to spend your day. The many reason we picked this house was the dock so I would have a place to launch my kayak and fish. Caught multiple snook and trout from the dock and the fishing in the area is first rate. I would highly recommend this rental and any other they have as service was perfect.

Amazing Cottage on the Bay!!!

This owner has thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay comfortable for the entire family!! The location is outstanding, we took advantage of several great restaurants within walking distance. The kitchen is fully stocked, the furnishings are comfortable (I appreciated the desk since I was doing some remote work!) and the fenced yard, bikes, kayaks, games all ensure your family will have an amazing vacation!!! Do not hesitate, rent this cottage!!! Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Nothing compares to the outdoor landscaping, pool,dock,etc. Lots of thought put into the indoor comfort as well! Great beds, kitchen well stocked, snuggly blankets, extra towels, and lots of pool and beach toys! We had a little trouble figuring out some things, especially hot tub and lighting, but sweet people are always very responsive! Great maintenance techs, etc! Can't wait to come back

Great spot to relax

We have never stayed in Cortez after several trips to Ana Maria. I have to say that the experience was great. The houses old Florida. Very clean and comfortable. The outdoor space was fantastic. A large pool with chairs in the water at the shallow end along with umbrellas for shade. The property has its own dock with views of the fishing village on both sides. We spent most of our time there during the week. We’ll definitely go back.

Hidden Gem

The Crooked Coconut is a hidden gem within the little village of Cortez. We were in town for my daughter's wedding and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The back yard is stunning and is where we spent most of our free time. The cottage is so comfortable and had a stocked kitchen, everything we needed to cook some meals. The only thing we could've used were some adult sized life jackets so we could've taken the kayaks out so I would suggest bringing your own if you'd want to do that. We were sad when our week ended, we will definitely be returning in the future!

Cute cottage

We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots, and pans. Having a few spices available was great. Good space to enjoy - inside and out. We loved being on the water, sitting on a dock and watching birds was very relaxing. Available kayaks and bikes were a big plus. The only negative was a wall airconditiner in the master bedroom. It was so noisy and no matter which way we turned the vents, it was blowing right on the bed. Loved the backyard.

Super cute cottage w kayaks

We visited w our 4 children and in laws for kayaking, beach adventures, nature walks and museums. The house is adorable, tastefully decorated and well appointed with enough towels and dishes for 8, comfy beds, limited steps, and responsive AC. The pier/dock is so fun and the lawn is nice and flat and the kids found coconuts and mangoes. The walk in shower with skylight made experiencing pre dawn sunrise shower in prep for shelling fun! The master suite "door" does not close which is not conducive to master bedroom activity lol, so we had to prop it closed over and over with a box. The place is obviously well cared for but has a slight smell most would not even notice but we are all uber sensitive and all reacted w sinus/allergy. Being on the water it may be unavoidable. Great stay and great memories!!

Cortez Cottage was a dream

We absolutely loved Cortez Cottage. The dock, yard, house and neighborhood were quaint and quirky. Loved having the extra toys to bike to ice cream, kayak out for a closer look of the bay, and play corn hole with our friends. Loved the dock to watch the dolphins...some even swam under the dock. Fished a ton! If not for our friends on the island, we would have happily stayed put at the house all week. Very cozy and lacked for nothing. Thank you!

Great Place to stay

What a great place to stay! This house was incredibly well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed plus it was well stocked with spices etc. The house came with bikes, watersports, hoses, etc. I have never rented a house with that many "extra's" which was such a nice surprise. We will be back to this house!
