Family time

Great cabin floorplan and beautiful stream to play in. Kids and dogs had so much fun. Close to great trails, rides and much more. Yet peace and quiet to chill.

Wilderness

We had a great time during our stay .The fact that there were 2 fully stocked kitchens was great also. Everything was beautifully decorated. The lights fans and tvs took a little work to figure out. There is no cell service here at all. Wifi in the cabin. We also encountered quite a few bugs in the cabin I guess is to be this far up in the woods. Cabin could use a few more blankets. The roads leading up to the lodge are narrow and winding took first couple of days to get use to them. Beautiful landscape with the creek. Overall I would visit again. expected. This far up in the woods.

June 2024 weekend stay

The lodge is beautifully furnished. The grounds are well maintained. The river is as peaceful as it gets. Just 30 minutes away from Gatlinburg, so you get the peace and privacy, and then a short drive to the shopping and eats.

Very Disappointed, dishonest advertising

The cabin is cute with lots of character, BUT #1- We booked this cabin BECAUSE it says in the listing that you can Fish right from the property, it even listed pictures of fishing rods by the creek. Our 2 boys wanted nothing more! 2 days before arrival, when we inquired about fishing permits, (too late to cancel), we were told that there are NO FISH in that creek. Then, after us getting upset and showing it is advertised, they back tracked and said there may be but “fish are naturally occurring and they make no guarantees.” Be aware- There are no fish there! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! #2- 2nd morning- We left at 9:30am (33* out) to go to Dollywood. We were notified by management @ 10 am, the maintenance man needed to enter to shut off a breaker. We said ok. We arrived back at 9:40pm that night to find the main door had been left standing OPEN the entire day. Our belongings left unsecured (our dog in a kennel) in a place where they offer Bear spray to guests. We notified management and they were very nonchalant and basically non apologetic. -VERY DISAPPOINTING! We knew the cabin was not close to the other places we planned to go, but for others planning, be aware it is min. 35-45 minutes to anywhere & on narrow, winding roads. We chose to stay knowing it was somewhat far out, because our boys wanted to fish from the property, which was FALSLY advertised. Other stuff- no foosball for table &washer doesn’t drain all water, construction in yard We have never been this disappointed!

Country setting

We had good family time. Not a lot is living area only sits 6 people. Out door area is good. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen needs new pots and pans and cooking utensils.

Dirty and horrible customer service

We first arrived at 5pm on Valentine's Day. When we first arrived we pulled in to what looked like someones work shop only to realize the rental was just on the other side. This house is super close to all the domes on the property. Felt like we were on top of each other. Upon entering the house we found the master bathroom to be dirty. Had dirt rings in sink and tub. All the porches were full of debris and a layer of green film. Outdoor furniture was dirty to were you could not sit or use. Doorways were dirty in crevices with dirt and hair and mold. You can only access hottub (which is ancient) from the master bedroom. We immediately contacted someone only to be told it would take the onsite manager 1 and half hours to get there to handle our issues. He came in Did not tell us he was the onsite manager first, then after we told him not to clean with bleach due to someone in our party having asthma he continued to clean with bleach. The smell was so strong we had to walk outside. Then he swept the porch off. All that should have been done before we arrived. There were pictures on the floor. Then we found ants. After this we asked to be moved they said nothing was available so we asked for a refund in which they told us the manager was off and would handle it the next day. Our whole party was uncomfortable so we decided to leave that night and got a hotel. Will never use Stay minty or vrbo again.

Great Getaway

Spent a family week doing nothing here and it was great. Just looking to get away and play board games and enjoy the creek. The staff was always very responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Almost perfect

Location of the property is wonderful. It was close to all the attractions we wanted to see but far enough away from town to enjoy the quiet country life. House was beautiful, plenty of room for 8 of us. We enjoyed our stay. Would have given 5 stars if kitchen would have had a little better selection/quality of pans to cook with. We were also surprised there was no salt or pepper in the house.

Escape the heat

Great location. Very peaceful. The creek was awesome to play in and cool down. Staff was very friendly. House needs maintenance. Screens damaged, loose hand rails, washing machine would not finish cycle.

Charming Mountain Cabin

My family (including dogs) loved staying at Lodge at Dunn Creek! The cabin was so cute and clean. It had everything we needed. The creek was absolutely beautiful and refreshing! We loved fishing, dogs playing, feet soaking and relaxing in and around it! We would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a charming and peaceful time.

Great cabin - needs some TLC

My family and I enjoyed the lodge and the spaciousness of all the rooms. I communicated with the property management during our stay due to a couple concerns. The biggest issue was the well water had a very strong sulfur smell!! I was told that there was a filtration system. I am very familiar with house filtration systems, and they require to backwashed and cleaned on a regular basis and the brine replaced. We loved the cabin but would not stay there again due to the water treatment problems.

Fantastic rental!

From the handwritten welcome to the courtesy checking, this rental did not disappoint. The lodge was adorable and super clean. The sound from the creek was incredibly relaxing and a perfect accompaniment to a hot cup of tea or coffee. Whether you are going with a group of friends or your family, this unit and property are a great option. Will definitely be going back!

Nice place to relax

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The property was very clean and comfortable. The road coming in from the Gatlinburg side was very narrow in spots, not wide enough for two large vehicles. Verizon and AT & T had zero reception for miles around. Wi-Fi worked great.

Property was too small compared to images and property drain is flowing in backyard

Rooms and house is too small then what is showen in image, drain is flowing in back yard (Water stream side) so lot of smell and mosquitoes all over.

Great family getaway

Sleeps 9 adults comfortably.. good family experience! Be prepared to drive 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, n 40 mins to pigeon forge! Pretty Steep incline to the creek bank, fishing was small trout only…. Not able to swim to shallow n to many slippery rock! But we enjoyed the sound of the creek for sure! Would definitely go back!

Awesome property and house

I came here with siblings and spouses and one adult "kid".. We loved the layout of the house and how we each could spread out to our own bedrooms (with comfortable beds) and bathrooms at the end of the day. The gathering areas and two kitchens were perfect for us! We used one kitchen for making meals and eating at the table together and the other kitchen we used for holding all our snacks and beverages. The property is stunning and the place as a whole was hard to say goodbye to. We all said we would absolutely stay here again!
