“We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and have yet to hear back from a Manager regarding the numerous complaints we had with the service experienced. To begin with, I will note the positives: Clean room Friendly staff Beautiful views Now the negatives: Upon checking into our room at 7pm (following a telephone conversation had earlier in the morning regarding our children and dog joining us) we discovered that the extra beds were not in our room ready for our children to sleep on....

“Die Unterkunft ist mit 4 Schlafzimmern (2 x Standardgröße mit queensize beds, 2 x kleiner und mit Einzelbetten, einem großen Wohn-/Esszimmer recht großzügig ausgestattet. Exklusiver Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Moderne Kücheneinrichtung (Miele Spülmaschine), ausreichend Kochgeschirr, Teller und Besteck. Im Garten sind Stühle und Tische, es gibt einen Billardtisch und jede Menge Spiele und Bücher. Für den ersten Tag haben wir Milch und Marmelade im Kühlschrank vorgefunden. “We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!!”

“Silvermine House is amazing! An ideal house for our family group of 5 adults and 3 teenage boys. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and multiple places to gather and relax. The house seems isolated but is only 5 or 10 minutes from restaurants and shopping. The views are stunning! Sonya and Paul are wonderful hosts, who provided everything we needed. It's a long trip from the US to Cornwall, but Silvermine House was worth every mile of it!”
