Great location, nice house, had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Easy in and out of the channel great to have a freezer for bait.

We arrived at 4:15 PM after a 7-hour drive, expecting a 4:00 PM check-in—but the house was not ready. It was still dirty, with used bedding, leftover clothing in drawers, cleaning supplies out, and trash not taken out. No one was even there cleaning.We couldn’t check in and had to contact Vrbo support just to reach the owner, since no direct contact info was provided. While he apologized, there was no real resolution or compensation offered.We didn’t get access until around 7:00 PM, which was very frustrating after a long travel day. The home itself was fine and the location was good, but the check-in experience and lack of communication made this a disappointing stay.

Venture Out is a great resort, however this unit needs some TLC. The unit was clean, but it could use some repairs and updates given what it cost to rent.

the owner wants to rob me

I informed the owner in advance that the equipment in the house has not been working since we arrived and now he wants to charge me for it. I have evidence and a witness who warned you in advance that they were of no use.

Perfect for Boating

The Host/Owner Mark was a great communicator and very helpful. The community this house is in is great for boaters. There is a separate fee 125 you pay to the community but that gives you access to boat ramp and Marina. You can add trailer parking for additional 10 per day (First come first service). The house its self was nice. The lots are a little small but that’s all the lots not specifically this home. However this was not an issue as we were on water majority of time. I recommend this place for family boating or home base for fishing trip.

Vacation review

We enjoyed our place and location. The host was very responsive to our messages and sent plenty of information ahead of time for preparation. Would have liked to know about the property amenities fee before booking as we didn’t use any of them but still had to pay.

Great location, nice amenities and responsive host

There were three of us and we had a great time staying at Venture Out and in this property. It was easy to get the kayaks in and out and the home was very nice. Being in Cudjoe Key puts you close to Key West and the other lower Keys without a lot of driving. Great places to eat didn’t want to leave. Recommend you grab coffee and a quick breakfast at Baby Coffee and eat at Boondocks (with a round of mini golf), Thai Island and Tonio’s. Got there early and did a day resort pass at The Reach in Key West which was nice and then checked in at Venture Out. The half day fishing with FishMonster and Island Jane was a great time.

Nice and Relaxing

The house was as described, we had a relaxing time. Great communication with the owner, we had a few things come up, but he was very responsive on handling the situation. The community was also very nice and friendly. Will definitely rent again.

Great Oveall Experience

Lovely and spacious home, comfortable for our family of 6. Home could use a few minor repairs, but over all nice. The beds are really hard. Fortunately, I'm good as long as I have my own pillows. The hardest part about sleeping in the master bedroom is that the headboard hits the wall (loudly) every time you get into bed or turn over. We had problems with the exterior door but contacted the property manager who responded very quickly. The 2 bicycles had flat tires and no pump so disappointed we couldn't ride. Not all of the burners on the gas grill worked. Kayaks were a nice bonus. There's outdoor furniture on all levels, so lounge at your convenience. Rules are confusing because The property manager provides a list, the resort provides a list, then there's a list posted inside the home, and some of those rules contradict each other. All these rules and instructions seemed Overwhelming. After all we were on vacation, paid a lot of money for this place and paid a cleaning fee, yet it seemed like they want for us to do all the work we had paid for. In the end, I said I'm on vacation. I'm not working. We took the trash out, did the dishes, and left the place without damage. Just be respectful and you'll be fine. The best thing about this home and most of the homes in this resort are the canals and being able to step out of your home and onto your boat.

Relaxing Vacation
