Beautiful hidden gem near Dahlonega GA.. Wonderful long distance mountain views from the lodge. Great place to unwind! Excellent breakfast served by Kendall. She was soooo very nice & helpful in offering advice on the area. We are coming back again!! Literally in another week.

The Lodge is very nicely set up. Showers were outside AND inside! (Nature's fault! Not not the Lodge's fault!) Quiet is everywhere as we went to a Wedding and a great dinner and even lots of fun! The owners provide lots of local information and we may have time for finding better weather and temperatures next year for some safe climbing and enjoying beautiful waterfalls and quiet. Thank you!

Stayed October 2023..I would highly recommend Long Mountain Lodge. Great location with a beautiful view. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was outstanding...nice, friendly and very helpful. Very knowledgeable of Dahlonega area with helpful hints of fun things to visit and great places to eat. Breakfast was delicious. I would rate a 5 in all areas.

Welcoming. Nothing too much trouble for Don, the host. Great breakfasts. Comfortable and like a home away from home. Great views from the balcony. Glimpses of nature with the butterflies and birds.

We had a wonderful stay at Long Mountain Lodge this Labor Day weekend. Beautiful, quiet mountain views and cozy accommodations. Breakfast is amazing, and the innkeeper and staff are so welcoming and friendly! We hope to return!

Host was very professional and accommodating. Place was very clean and roomy everything that we needed was readily available. The Breakfast was delicious and varied different meal every day and more than enough... No real drawbacks to speak of. Would definitely recommend.

Our getaway at Long Mountain Lodge
Our stay at Long Mountain Lodge was wonderful and so relaxing. Don and Kendell were great host. The breakfast was delicious and the sunset was beautiful! I can’t wait to go back! We have found our B&B.

The lodge was wonderful. View of the balcony was beautiful. Room was decorated tastefully and was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very polite and friendly.

Thank youTry coming back in the fall (usually early November) for our leaf change season. Also the town of Dahlonega does an amazing job with Christmas!

It was raining hard when we went up the mountain road. We almost went off the road because it was so narrow and slippery. The resort address was incorrectly marked so we shuffled back down the mountain. When we called the host informed us it was incorrectly marked. We did not want to take the chance of damaging our rental car so we decided to go somewhere else where the roads are safer. We fouund a great B&B in Athens, GA,

Wow! I have to respond to this because I don't think it is close to fair. It was raining the day they arrived. Yes, they did arrive. They showed up at the lodge at 145pm (3pm is check in) A lot of ppl do this, find the lodge then go out to enjoy their day. They just sat in their car, then drove off (I assumed to go to town) but then called later saying they went up a dirt road and got lost. The city has a 20 foot sign announcing the lodge. I just counted, we have 8 signs (2 that are lit 24/7) marking the lodge. Our driveway has a roadsign that says our name because thats the name of the road. And the lodge itself has about a 40 ft sign on it that says Long Mountain Lodge. (so signage was not an issue, plus they actually pulled into the driveway) The directions are correct, expedia knows how to get ppl to us. For 16 years, tens of thousands of ppl make it here with no problem, so I dont think its the directions. This is way harsher than I ever want to be but to trash a family run business, because you cant figure out what everyone else can, isnt fair. Also, calling expedia and asking us to refund you (which we did without hesitation) and waiting til after they get the refund before they posted the review tells you a lot about their character. And finding a BnB in Athens (which is over 1 1/2 hours away from Dahlonega) in a storm makes no sense. Our driveway is also paved and although steep (thats how you get the sunset mountain views) is easy to come up and down and no vehicle will bottom out. They are talking about a dirt road near us they went down, that have zero signs pointing to the lodge as opposed to our driveway that is very well marked. Again, I hate being like this, but I think anyone wanting to come enjoy our beautiful town should not be deterred by baseless reviews like this.

Great country getaway!
Great Mountain View’s but only 10 minutes from the cute town of Dahlonega. Many scenic drives, waterfalls, and wineries close by. Our host Don was super helpful. Breakfast each day different and delicious!

Easy check-in, wine, cheese, crackers, and baked cookies waiting for us. It was quiet, serene, with a mountain view, good conversation with the innkeeper, and a great breakfast. We hope to return later this year.

I wish I could visit every month.
Beautiful and private lodge. The rooms are amazing, the proprietor is very accommodating, and all of the small touches contribute to the overall excellence of the stay. The breakfast is to die for.

The lodge is a true home away from home, but better yet, you're "expected" to enjoy touches of luxury during your stay. You must stay at the Long Mountain Lodge to comprehend what I mean! I will only stay there whenever I visit the Dahlonega area from now on!

It is as beautiful and welcoming as the photos. Don was sooo accommodating and so easy to talk to. Gave lots of helpful input on where to eat, etc. Breakfast was Oh-My-Goodness delicious and melts in your mouth! Fireplace was the perfect touch to our beautiful mountain view and outdoor rocking chairs.

Have already recommended to friends!
We had to find a local place to stay, in a hurry, while waiting for parts/repairs to our home's plumbing. Long Mountain Lodge offered a perfect home across town from home for us for a whole week, with a beautiful view of the mountains in a country setting with the nicest folks, who made us feel welcome and provided lovely breakfasts every morning. A different homemade muffin accompanied our breakfast each morning and they were all delicious! They serve some of the best waffles that we've ever had! My husband may have gotten a little spoiled having a great hot breakfast each morning before going to work. The lodge was comfortably furnished, clean and provided additional little extras to make the stay special.

Long Mountain Lodge was very peaceful with great views. We really enjoyed the fantastic breakfast each morning. We visited the property in the summer and plan to return in the fall or winter when we can enjoy the scenery and the fireplace.

Wonderful Stay
Upon arriving, we completed a self check in. Easy process. We found our room which was perfect for us. There was wine, cheese and crackers greeting us in our room along with graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars to make s’mores in our fireplace! The breakfast was brought to our room every morning. First morning we had homemade waffles, sausage and bananas foster along with fresh coffee and orange juice. Each morning’s breakfast was as tasty as the morning before. Room was wonderfully stocked and clean for all our needs. I would never hesitate to recommend this B&B. We will return.

What a great place: clean and sooooo quiet. Not near anything, which adds to the relaxation. Breakfast alone is worth the price of admission. The staff are great. Can’t wait to come back during a season in which I can use the fireplace
