“The staff attitude : very cheerful and welcoming”

“Older property but well maintained.”

“Great location, serene environment and friendly/professional staff. Really enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant, served by great staff and delicious food. So far my best stay in Scotland.”

“This is a tale of two halves… We had booked for a deluxe family suite, that had been modernised and had two separate rooms. Unfortunately we arrived to find that our room was unavailable, due to a leak (awful Scottish weather) and they offered us either a deluxe family room (two doubles) or two adjoining rooms in the dated part of the hotel (the forest wing), which we opted for. Although it hadn’t seen a lick of paint or new furniture in decades, it was exceptionally clean and had everything we...

“El propietario Derek es encantador y ayuda en todo lo que necesites. El desayuno es estupendo, te tratan con mucho cariño”

“The location of this guest house was excellent, good (free) parking and a delicious breakfast. The room was a bit dirty (hairs that were not mine, cup rings on the glass topped dresser, toothpaste marks on the glasses/mug). I appreciated the lamps with USB chargers and a window that opened. The host/owner was pleasant and friendly”

Sadly in need of a makeover.”

“Everything in our room was beautifully done. The lighting was awesome. Beds were soft. The only downfall is they didn’t have “lifts” or elevators and we were up on the 3rd floor.”

“We recently spent a night in a deluxe room to break up our return journey home from the Hebrides. We love older, quirky hotels and this one is a real gem. Firstly the grounds are stunning and our early morning walk beside the river was a wonderful way to start the day. The hotel itself has lots of character, but don't come here expecting polished perfection. Some areas of the hotel look a little tired and could do with refurbishing, but all the bits that mattered were fabulous and everywhere...

“Friendly staff, clean accommodation, very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely return and stay again. Thankyou 😊”
