Elevators are broke which was kinda an issue when in town for baseball tournament with longs of equipment , our floor had a very overwhelming scent of pot but seemed to be temporary, beds and room were good, BUT word of warning if planning on using pull put bed, its not really a bed its a black mat that is not comfortable at all, they dont provide sheets for.

Attendants on duty were polite and informative. The lady in the breakfast area did a fantastic job helping the customers as necessary and the food was tasty. It made my stay great. I'd definitely recommend that location.

The hotel was clean enough, the bed was hard and the bathroom needed a little repair. The showerhead did not work correctly so was hard to get a good shower. Plenty of hot water tho. The window did not seal properly and the wind made it whistle all night. Tried to open it just a crack but the outside noise was so loud that couldn’t do that. The TV remote was hard to figure out and there were no instructions for it or the channel guide. Found it the on button, and many others on the remote did nothing, the off button turned the tv on.

Check in was quick and the room and accommodations (breakfast and front desk) were nice. It was quiet and our family got a lot of much needed rest after our activities. We were in town for a football tournament. Check our was smooth as well.

I booked a king suite with a whirlpool through Expedia. The whirlpool pool was the deciding factor for me to spend extra for this hotel & room instead of one of the more affordable hotels on the same block. Since I was booking it for that same evening I selected the non-refundable option. We eagerly anticipated the whirlpool all day. That evening we checked in. There was a bit of a language barrier between me and the guy that checked us in but ultimately he gave us a key & we were good to go. We get all they way up to our room and there is not whirlpool. In fact, the room looked completely different. I checked my booking & made sure I ordered what I thought I did. Then we went back downstairs to show them our reservation & let them know of the mistake. By that time a lady was working the counter. She first told us that they couldn't give us the room we booked because it was under renovations.Then she said it was an "accessible" only so we couldn't have it. Then just flat said it ws not available. In asking her why we weren't told that at book in she basically told us to either take it or we could leave. When I asked her if we could get a refund since the room we booked was unable she said nope. Because we had booked it under non-refundable. I asked why they would allow an unavailable room to be booked and she said its because Expedia cant see that its not available. Ultimately it felt like a bait & switch scam. Added bonus, the bathtub was filthy. Pics on my Googl

Very nice staff at a place I stay often. Yudith at the front desk is extremely knowledgable, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. Cheryl, the friendly breakfast attendant, does a great job and is nice to chat with.

We have stayed in the Comfort Inn for many years when we came to McKinney to visit relatives. Glad to see that it finally is getting renovated. That being said, the hotel has good beds in rather large rooms. Hopefully everything will be upgraded and spiffed up. Front desk people are very quiet with people. One staff person tried to help us with the printer which we are grateful for. Maybe a little more overt hospitality would be good. The breakfast needs help, maybe some fruit added. We love the walkability of the area and the Kroger's and restaurants nearby. However homeless people are sometimes in the surrounding area which the hotel has nothing to do with. Overall, the Comfort Inns is like an old shoe-comfortable and well worn. Hopefully the renovation will make it a little more up with the times and provide a more upscale environment.

The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. What I didn’t like was the smoke alarm chirping loudly every 10 seconds starting around midnight. I have called atleast 5 times asking for the manager and leaving messages for a call back. After 3 weeks with no response, I had no choice but to leave a review.

Rundown, Dirty and trying to hide it.
Hotel is very run down and not clean. The lobby smells overwhelming with Scented Spray, so I was glad our room wasn't on the first floor. Our bathtub was dirty and drain plug didn't stay open. Ceiling exhaust vent was falling off the ceiling. The outlets and lamp at the desk didn't work, including the wall outlet behind it. Our comforter had several large tears in it that were being covered up by the white bedspread sheet. Lamp shade was broken. Room felt damp and smelt like mildew. I tried calling the front desk to complain about the room, but got no answer. So I went downstairs and told the front desk attendant that there were things wrong with our room, but didn't feel that I needed to switch rooms since we had already unpacked everything. I was pretty sure another room at this place wouldn't be any better. I provided a list of items that were wrong and she said she would give it to you manager. We got no response from the manager or maintenance. We checked out 2 days later and I requested that we received a discounted rate due to all the issues. Management didn't come to the lobby and just told the attendant they had to call customer service to see if they could refund any of the charge. I walked out after getting so frustrated with the front desk person. Ended up with only $50 refund for our 3 night stay and the attendant telling me that we should have just switched rooms. Hotel is not worth the price. Could have stayed at a Motel 6 for half the price.

We were told after we were checked in at 9pm that the elevator was broken and our room was on the 3rd floor. There was no offer of assistance. The room was warm and musty when we opened the door. Lastly, and most disturbing was that it was dirty. Hair in the tub and corners of the bathroom. Marks on the comforters. Dust, etc.

My room smelled horrible. I thought maybe staff forgot to clean the bathroom or maybe it was just stale air but when I cranked the AC to get the air moving, I realized the smell was coming from the AC. It was 85° at night so sleeping without the AC was not an option. Maybe that room hadn’t been used in a while because the foul smell had permeated the pillow cases and bedding. I didn’t have high expectations for this place but I think it’s reasonable to expect a maintained AC unit and clean bedding.

Overall it was quite comfortable. The pull- out bed- sofa in the room was uncomfortable to sit on and the fabric on one side was old, worn, and stained. Breakfast was ok but nothing special… would have liked some oatmeal or bagel options.

We only were staying over night for a baseball tournament. We check in and go to our room to find someone sleeping in there, we had been given keys to someone else’s room. Which is pretty unnerving. We did get our room and all was well but I didn’t sleep well worrying about if someone else was going to be given keys to our room
