“I found this pub when looking for a room with a hot tub for one night away. It’s in a very quiet place with nice scenery. We received a very warm welcome from friendly, pleasant staff. We found all staff very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and very clean with everything we needed. Towels, robes, fan, tea and coffee making facility, secluded garden which was not overlooked and a hot tub. The bed was very comfortable. Food was cooked to order and very tasty....

“I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”

“The room was small and as situated at the front of the hotel quite noisy adjacent to the busy high street. There was no fridge, the air conditioning was poor and there was a noisy fan provided as compensation. We mentioned we were celebrating an anniversary when booking and at check in but no acknowledgment. The restaurant was overpriced, very average food which my husband mentioned, again no acknowledgment. We ate out for the rest of our visit. The property is beautiful, located in lovely...
