My husband passed away March 9,2025. Trip was in memory of our times going to DI when we first met 40 years ago. Sadly, the experience was ruined. Day 1- 2men 9am outside BR window talking woke & frightened my friend. They were there to work on dock. Called DI realty who talked to owner. I was told they would leave SOON.Day 2-we were going to dock to drink our coffee. Workers there again! Called again, told owner had difficulty communicating with company of workers. I expressed my displeasure regarding the situation, owners inability to communicate SHOULD NOT be MY problem. Was asked how long we they there day 1 & NOW day 2. Told agent how long…also, should NOT be MY problem. I had payed for time at THE PEARL not to have my time interrupted by repairs owner needed done. Asked agent to contact again and ask for compensation for ruining a SPECIAL time I longed for in memory of my husband. Agent said owner offered nothing. My husband & I have had resort properties for 30 years. If any guest experienced ANY inconvenience we would comp them in someway. The guest paid for an experience, we treated our guest how we would want to be treated. DAY-3 was our day to leave.Left feeling not seen, not heard or respected. Worst of all, my heart hurt as this trip was to be in honor of my husband.
