  • Soul Surfing II-Property includes a private beach area located on the bay with a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico from the front porch area. Located in the town of Dauphin Island also known as the Sunset Capital of Alabama. Gorgeous split floor plan with beautiful views of the water from the living/dining/and kitchen areas. Sleeps 13 comfortably. 5 large bedrooms and 3 full baths. Fully equipped with many extras including all kitchen appliances, linens, towels, Keurig, and outdoor grill. Bedrooms 2 and 3 include two king sized beds and have private entrance and exits through French doors that open to the spacious back porch. The bedrooms and back porch area have some of the best views of the spectacular sunsets on Dauphin Island. Bedroom 1 includes another king sized bed with a gulf view. Bedroom 4 contains two sets of twin sized bunk beds which are perfect for the kids. Bedroom 5 includes a full and twin sized bunk bed. All bedrooms and living area have Smart TV's. An interactive Nex Playground system is provided for additional family fun. WiFi is included. Home has highchair and playpen for smaller children. Please be advised of the following information prior to placing a Reservation: Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 23. Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay. Maximum Occupancy numbers include children and cannot be exceeded at any time. All of our homes are Non-Smoking and Pet Friendly with a paid pet fee. Please note: A starter pack of essentials are provided. This includes: one small bottle of dish detergent, two dishwasher pods, a small bottle of washing machine detergent, one 4-pack of toilet paper, a few garbage bags, and small toiletries to get you started. Please pack salt, pepper, and other spices. The housekeepers remove opened containers after each visit to stay in compliance with our safety guidelines.

I have stayed at several properties over the years, and Soul Surfing has always been one of the best. Great location on the west end of Dauphin Island, you can see the bay out the back door and see the Gulf out the front. Quiet location, great place to take the family.I found the whole rental process very easy, and the management company is great to work with, very responsive every time I had and inquiry.

Love love love the location! In the back yard you have access to bay side beach! It’s a short minute walk to gulf side! Love that it was pet friendly and my dogs got to experience the ocean for the first time. They had a blast. Definitely would come back. We had a group of 12 and it easily fit us all.

This house was perfect for our family vacation with the Bayview. You could see a perfect sunrise & a beautiful sunset each day. The layout of the house was perfect for our grandkids on one side of the house and the adults on the other with a wonderful open kitchen dining living room plan. You could actually wash dishes and see the ocean waves across the street! Absolutely stunning views every where. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared. The host will answer any questions you have ASAP.

The house was beautiful and had a great view. It was big enough for our whole family. The neighborhood was very quiet. Just an FYI for those visiting from out of state, please take bug spray and use it every time you exit the house. There are no-see-ums or sand flies that ate us up. Other than that it was wonderful!!

Overall great property. Make sure to bring extra toilet paper, etc. While some things are provided - definitely not enough to support a five bedroom house. We enjoyed the house but it does need a few repairs - key pad did not work, broken furniture on deck, broken glass in front door. Didn’t ruin our stay - just a few suggestions! We did gave a great time.

The house itself was nice but it wasn’t very clean and the pictures are misleading. There isn’t just nice sand to the beach it is all grown up with grass.

This was our favorite vacation in a long time! The house was well stocked and I really appreciate that kids were considered, plenty of plastic dishes, high chair, games. The house is close to west end public beach which was a lot of fun. Check in/out very easy and not nearly as fussy as some other vrbos we’ve been to lately. The freezer didn’t keep things firmly frozen but was cold enough.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and the location was perfect. The bay access was so convenient and the kids all really loved playing in the bay. It was also so nice to walk right across the road and be at the ocean. The kids and the adults loved playing PacMan and all the rooms were well decorated and everything was clean. It would have been nice to have more towels and the water coming out of the fridge was extremely slow. Maybe the filter needs changing? Just minor things that didn't keep us from having a great time. We loved our vacation and hope to come back to Dauphin Island again soon.

Repeat visits

This is our 3rd stay at the house and it is amazing every time. We love the view and the ability to just walk off the back deck to the beach. As long as this place is available we will continue to stay here.

This is our second stay (3rd trip to the island). The house is great. House is well appointed. Has great location to west beach. Love that end of the island. Tons of space inside the house. Love lot and house position relative to the neighbors. Really appreciate the owners opening their house to us and our two dogs!Opportunities for improvement:- beach towels- more towel bars in bathrooms- master bath as walk-in vs tub/shower- grab bar at each shower’s entry- the grill functions but it’s not in good condition and there wasn’t a grill brush- if you have dogs, and bring their kennels… it’s easier to get them up into the house via the back stairs (wider and no switchback)- dining table chairs best suited for young butts - host/mgmt responded quickly to questions/concerns

A lovely home in a beautiful location! Exactly as advertised, plenty of space inside, and 2 great porches outside. The 5 grandchildren had space for board games and also enjoyed the arcade games. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. All the appliances worked well. Everyone raved about how it was a perfect place for our multi family vacation!

Worth every penny!

My family of 7 and our dog stayed in this beautiful house, and from the moment we walked in, we loved this home. It is not only beautiful but very comfortable and accomodating. It had everything we needed although we did have to buy paper products for our 6 day stay. We spent lots of time on the private beach and on the back deck. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again!

This place was immaculate!!! All of our needs were met. This house was equipped with everything we needed. I was hesitant on the price but I can say it's well worth it.

Spring break getaway

We enjoyed the location of this house and its proximity to both the bay and the ocean. When the wind kicked up on one side, the other was great! We comfortably slept 9 family members of various ages and made many of our meals at the house. Recommended for future travelers: bring your own beach towels and some hand towels as well as a throw blanket for cozying up!

The house was amazing, well stocked. We brought a lot of stuff we did not need because of past reviews. The view was very nice. Very scenic. My family and I loved the house! Definitely recommend! 🙌

I'd Stay Again

Pros: Beautiful house. Great location. Great communication with property manager. Cons: Not the cleanest (dirty diaper under a bed, moldy/stinky clothes washer, sand/dog hair on the floor, very dirty HVAC filter), gas grill propane tank was empty, internet connection was hit or miss. Overall, it was a beautiful house for our big family group with easy access to the bay or Gulf. We would stay here again.

Such a great vacation!

This group of ten adults and 2 kids (5 & 1.5 years) had such a wonderful time. This home's location is perfect to view both the sound and the gulf. The home was spacious and comfortable. It was even better than the pictures! The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. We hope to come back again! HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!
