“First of all, the images shown to represent the hotel looked way better than what it looked. The rooms were very dirty. I found a dead spider in my bed. Everything is extremely old. Also i requested for a non-smoking area but there were people smoking. We saw people laying down on the hallways or sleeping in the hallways. There was a pool but I did not feel comfortable letting my kids go in it. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.”

“Very gracious host who catered to our grandkids and to the New Year’s Eve Festivities. We were greeted with a great meal and had loads of fun playing games and enjoyed the coziness of the indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Highly recommend this serene family friendly cabin. ”

“Really nice place you can tell it was fairly new. Lots of thought went into it. The only thing that I didn’t care for was the hot tub and pool are not on site. They are down a few miles away and closed for off-season but that is to be expected and with the rain our buildings parking lot was a pond where all the other ones were nice and dry a little bit higher up or more gravel would definitely recommend this stay and stay here again, and we have plans in the future to reserve more cabins. “The House of Joy was so fun, before we left we were already talking about booking again. Our family went for a wedding. Most of our time was spent in the pool. Unfortunately, the wifi was down (and the electric went out for a little) - not their fault. BUT it made us all put our phones down and enjoy the moment with each other even more! The house was so unique. It was a crazy experience that gave us so much to talk about and even with the wifi down, the 5 kids were NEVER bored. There was 2 dogs...

“We had a lovely and very comfortable stay. Everything was set up for comfort and the kitchen had all the tools that I needed to keep my family happy. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was very well kept and clean. Plus, the house smelled lovely. It was so nice that there was a washer and dryer and laundry detergent. Plenty of towels were available which is usually something we run out of quickly. Thank you for the hospitality!”
