“The room was musty, humid, and had a strange smell. The curtains didn’t close all the way, and they didn’t let you take the hangers out of the closet to use the clips to close the curtains. The bed was extremely loud and uncomfortable.”

“We came to the area to visit the Field of Dreams movie site and for the All-Star game. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay. The location was amazing and property was beautiful and as described. The extra amenities available for our group were so fun and utilized by everyone, Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Property is clean and well maintained, and the property managers are friendly and great at communication.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Timberside! Everything thing was clean, check-in was a breeze and everything was as pictured. There are extras included such as shampoo and conditioner, yard games and a fresh loaf of zucchini bread! John was very responsive and the location was perfect. It’s just a couple of minutes from town but you wouldn’t know it once you are there. Our family really enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend.”

“Absolutely a great place to stay. Host was great, let us us check in a little earlier, and check out a little later. We were here for a wedding nearby. There was a beautiful porch with comfy chairs overlooking a beautiful lake. We enjoyed our morning coffee there. Not one complaint or concern here!”

“Host is easy to communicate with and very responsive. The apartment is beautiful and full of rustic charm down to the hand hewed beams and 160 year old hardwood floor's. Well equipped with pots , pans and the like as well as spices if you choose to cook. ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is incredibly spacious, offers fantastic activities, and features an excellent location. If you are planning a trip to Backbone State Park, this home is perfect, as it is just a short drive from the park entrance.However, we did notice a few details regarding the sleeping arrangements:Master Bedroom: The mattress is comfortable but the frame is quite squeaky. A single quiet sleeper will be fine, but multiple people may find their sleep...

“The stay was so enjoyable and close to restaurants and the Basilica. Everything was clean and in working order. It was fun to tell people that came to take pictures by the Field of Dreams mural that we were staying there. The only thing that was difficult was all the stairs, but I guess I got some good exercise!”

“This was our second stay at this property. Location is perfect for our visit with our children who live in Dyersville. They’ve added a nice outdoor dining table and fire pit since our last visit. Linens are very nice. This is a very pleasant property with a great front porch!”
