“We found an M&M on the carpet as soon as we arrived. The room looked okay but the whole building had definitely seen better days. It also smelled like old nicotine which is odd since it’s a non-smoking place.”

“The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. You could definitely see the pride in their establishment. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and made you feel like an honored guest. Even though the motel doesn’t serve breakfast, they had fresh coffee, granola bars and fruit for their guests. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Unfortunately the shower was squeezed in beside a narrow wall. Tiny, not built for a standard body size. My husband couldn’t fit through that narrow area to take a shower, The shower itself was also small. There is literally no counter space or shelf to carry toiletries into the bathroom. So we will not be back. Also the heavily scented room was over-fragrant and overpowering, my eyes started watering as soon as we entered, and my lungs reacted right away. “Hands down, the best place to stay in the UP! The amount of care the owners put into this really shows. Peaceful, quiet, very clean, lots of amenities, entertainment, and appliances that provide anything and everything you would need for your stay. Very pet friendly with a beautiful yard and wooded trails off the back of the property (our favorite!). I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!”
