“Very fun! The Owls Perch space is efficient and compact but also lovely. Very stylish with lots of owls! The creekside location is amazing—loved sleeping to creek noises. The drive there is quite an adventure—the road keeps getting smaller and rougher, but still drivable. You don’t need 4 wheel drive, but the 5” clearance is definitely advised. The real perk, though, is Alice and Doug’s knowledge of the local attractions. So many good ideas of things to do in the area. I had originally planned...

“Very cozy little cabin/trailer! Sulfer water was the only thing unpleasant. Owners had bottled water in fridge which helped out. Driveway is gravel and a lottle iffu on motorcycle. Nice place over all and would stsy again.”

“Loved the paved road leading to the property. Great location for what I was doing, close to hikes and scenic spots. No detergent or shampoo was a minor inconvenience, but everything else was good.”

We were able to get groceries in Robbinsville, visit the Tail of the Dragon, see Fontana Dam, head into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, plenty of hiking and sight seeing everywhere we went. “We enjoyed our stay at the creekside. The house was as described, clean, comfortable, and worked well for our group of 4 adults. We worked around not having cell or internet service and appreciated the land line phone to check on family etc. we came prepared to eat all meals at the house which turned out well after long days hiking and enjoying the area. We enjoyed hikes to Yellow Creek falls, the Joyce Kilmer Forrest, and especially to the shook shank fire tower and the hangover hike.The turn...
