“The Black Bear Lodge came as described and fit my purposes very well. I was in the area to hike about 25 miles of trails in two days at Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. I was able to use the microwave to make my oatmeal and get out on the trail early. The room was clean and had what I needed to dry off from getting drenched outside. “Great was such a great, cute, comfy place to stay! It is in a very convenient area for anywhere you need to travel in the Gorge and dining. My husband drinks coffee and LOVED the ground coffee that was provided. The kitchen had everything we needed. Firewood is provided for the fire pits. Lots of little extra things to use while you’re there. We were very impressed!!”

“This property was VERY comfortable, clean and so cozy! Very impressed with the decor and all the amenities it included, for being in a "smaller" space. Location was great to get to all that Red River Gorge has to offer. The property owners were awesome with their communication and assistance when it was needed. “This was the perfect cabin for a weekend getaway. We had a slight issue with the hot tub getting hot, however Heidi was right on top of fixing the issue so we were able to enjoy it. Loved the games they had available. We are already planning to come back to RRG as a regular spot.”

“The place was great and offered great amenities. Great location, 10 minutes from town and 15 from the red river gorge locations. The cons, some of the fixes were cheap, one being the picnic table, the left broke resulting un our food flying off and ruining a dinner/cookout. Good place tho and good ac”

“Cabin was clean and convenient, which is always a top priority. Only issue was the furniture was old and uncomfortable. The couch was unsittable. Bed was fair though.”
